Bad software. Dont buy. I was excited to get this as brother is a leader in printing technologies. This printer gives me problems almost everytime i print (from any device). Sometimes it will print what i asked it to the next day. It is advertised that this has a one year supply of ink. This is true, it probly has a lifetime supply of ink in it because the stupid thing wont print anything!

Same old printer scam on ink. Product is ok. I have had many printers over the years. Was looking for small form factor for light printing in a vacation rental. (Mostly for amazon return labels & Scanning). Went with Brother MFC-J805DW with these new ink reservoirs (Which all the manufacturers seem to be doing). Like the size. Setup was pretty easy, but did have to go to their web page to download SW instead of a plug & play auto driver install on Windows 10. (I am in IT, so may be more difficult for others). Not One Years Worth of Ink The ink that came with the printer is all starter inks. Disappointing as one of the reasons for selecting this printer was the one year of ink, printing 150 pages a month.
confusion at it's best I have had this thing since mid-december and the best I can do is scan with it. How to print from my computer is a total mystery. I have looked as best I can on the internet for advise but no luck yet. The Brothers web site is mostly concerned with selling more ink-big suprise. Build like a toy Cheap, and the construction reflected that. Difficult to hook to computer
Worthless as a wireless printer. Shows off-line on most of our computers all the time This is a known issue with this computer. Same yourself heartache and don't buy this. We gave it is own IP address and made sure the printers pointed to that specific IP. Did not matter. Sometimes one computer could print while it was showing up off-line on the others. Don't buy it Totally a waste of my time. Pain in the but. Hard to use controls. Printing is so slow. Print quality is crap.
HORRIBLE!!!!! Horrible. Complete brain damage to set up. Horrible. No place to call for assistance. What hard copy instructions say does not match what occurs on printer readout box. So so frustrating. Sent back, purchased HP I was able to call they walked me right through the set up. Easy. Want complete brain damage setting up your printer, go with brother. Want easy, straight forward, no issues or problems, go with HP.
