Goes through ink like candy! I have never had a printer that goes through ink like this one! The worst and of course brother makes its money on the back side of selling you a printer on the cheap. Ink isn't cheap! Would not recommend this printer.
Horrible Customer Service, bad product I purchased this printer in November. I have used "genuine Brother ink" the entire time. The printer is printing horribly now and so, even though I purchased a square trade warranty, I have to go through Brother because it's still covered under their warranty. So, fine, I call Brother and the rep runs me through all of the generic troubleshooting techniques with me. Most of which I had already done. I returned it I was never able to establish a stable connection with my wifi and computer to the printer. I spent 2 hours on the phone with Brother help to no avail. I loaded and unloaded the drivers 3 times. Finally gave up and bought an HP printer which installed and was printing within a half hour of unpacking. The Brother experience was miserable. Maybe my unit was defective.
Brother printers are junk. NEVER again. This printer is for you if you like wasting money replacing ink cartridges for low page counts.
Color rendition is awful. Color rendition is terrible.
Do not buy this printer! I bought this printer in November of 2018 and it just died February of 2019. My first brother printer lasted 5 years. And this one used a lot more ink. I do not recommend this printer. :(
Used to be a 5 STAR rating then stopped talking to Wifi. I have been buying Brothers Printers for years as they are simple to set up and dependable. This is my first disappointment. Simply put, the machine recognizes my wifi but refuses to talk. When I tried to reset it the machine went into infinity loop and never reached a destination for set up. It wouldn't even allow me to stop the infinity loop, I had to unplug the machine. Rather than blow an afternoon, I ordered a Canon just to see how it does.
irritating the ink refill from my previous all in one Brothers doesn't fit this one very very hard to tell what color refill is until you open it which makes it a 6 month life span bad customer service
. I had to return this printer because it wouldn't "talk" to my computer. I hired a much younger person to work out the kinks and he couldn't make it work, either. I finally went to Best Buy and with some help, we now have communication between devices.
