bummer i"ve had a series of Brother MFC machines over the years and obviously I liked them because i stuck with the brand, but this one might be the one that makes me find a different Brand when it needs replacing. The touch pad changes qualities of copies without touching but sometimes requires several touches to copy. the document feeder randomly eats my originals. and i get random fine black lines on my copies. none of these things happen frequently just once or twice a week but enough to make me think this machine was a ... read more
not good for fax fax not working when called for technical help , long wait & no solutions never buy brother product I have bought several brother printers ,intellifax but now never
Wertz This MFC won't let you setup scan to network in the browser page of the machine like other model I own, I bought it at a good price, so I am keeping it, otherwise, I would have return it to store. Kind of disappointed in this model I will not recommend this MFC if you want network scanning.
VP Operations very difficult to set up with wireless network. continuosly goes offline
Worst Printer I have ever owned This printer has been nothing but problematic. I called the help line and they tried to sell me stuff based on bogus info in my computer. Scary. This is my 3rd brother in 20 years... they ruined this machine with the new interface... I am looking at the screen now... "receiving data"... but it won't print. myriad problems since I bought it 4 months ago. I don't know if the data is going via WIFI or USB... there is no way to tell...
One Problem after another From the start this printer purchase was a big huge problem. First the pdf software changed all of my pdf files so the could not be used for report drafting (i.e. copy and paste from *.pdf to a word document) In the process many of my *.pdf files got corrupted. Next, the 2-sided to 2-sided feature was not working properly and nearly impossible to figure-out. While the support was productive, i had to take more time getting the basic features to work. No fax confirmation. Extremely disappointed that I do not receive fax confirmations. You would think this would be a given. I now have to call each time I fax to make sure the recipient received my fax. What a pain.
Very finicky Very fast, nice printing Extremely finicky on connecting and maintaining WiFi connection. I am on my second one, after the initial purchased one would not connect to scan. It still will not and I don't want to go through the process of dealing with the clueless customer support. I am currently asking it to print a document WiFi which it doesn't seem to want to do. Non functional features The products goes off to sleep in the middle of receiving fax messages. Touch screen does not response. It takes too long to switch off and on this product.
