Awful Printing!!! Received machine for work; however, unable to print quality jobs. Pages have streaks on them or are full of gray/excess toner. Contacted customer service multiple times with no success. They keep telling me I need a new toner. Toner and drums are out of warranty since they only have 90 days, even if they have been barely used. The toner has been replaced and still having the same issues. I used to rely on quality products from Brother, but not anymore. I do not recommend!!
Junk A complete rippoff. Won t scan, wont print; waste of money; prior to purchasing I hd to drive to staples to do all my printing, Scanning and faxing, now, despite purchasing the Brother printer I still have to spend time driving to staples and spend more money. Along with the price of the printer you got me for a service contract which is useless since there is no tech support due to the pandemic.
Splotchy prints right out of the box Prints are very splotchy. I called in to find out how to fix it, submitted it online, never received the new cartridge they supposedly mailed out to us. It was during the initial weeks of the COVID quarantine, but they never sent any communication either. I'd have returned it, but the instructions on the produce explicitly explained for us to go through the manufacturer.
Don't Waste your money Don't waste your money I have had this printer 2 times, yes, stupid enough to buy it 2 times thinking the first as a lemon. Nope no quality in their products. they only last for maybe 2 years if you are lucky then you have to go get a new one. No customer support because guarantee is garbage. Save you the time and move on from these products. They do not want to back their products up, even with the reviews. They only want good things said about them.
GARBAGE I purchased this machine in July of 2019, 1300 pages later toner completely gone (blew black soot all on the inside of the machine), mind you the copies I have made are like 1 or 2 line items, ok so caved a bought a new high yield toner, so now it says I need a new drum? Okay seriously your drums are suppose to last for 30,000 pages, I have 1,507 pages and guess what? No Good From Day 1 Unfortunately this printer has not worked properly from Day 1, purchased in June of 2019. Have had two different people tell us it either the drum or the toner (starter that came in the box). When talking with brother support, they always want to start with upgrading firmware. THIS IS NOT THE ISSUE! This is my 8th Brother printer and due to poor customer service will be my last!

Refurbished MFC-L5850DW I bought this unit for about 2 months as a refurbished unit. it is very easy to set up. I connected to my WiFi withing minutes. Print quality is somewhat average. The scan is below average even I use the highest resolution. In my opinion Pro: 1. Easy to set up (minutes to set up using either network cable or WiFi) 2. Duplex scanning (1 pass) 3. Duplex printing Con: 1. The print is average quality 2. Scan quality needs to improve rating 3/5
