Dr. Merz has been treating me for a bone on bone condition. He is knowledgeable and has suggested treatments that have allowed me to postpone knee replacement surgery. He thoroughly explains all options and works collaboratively with you to determine the best solution for your problem.
I highly recommend this provider and the EmergeOrtho practice. Dr. Merz listened closely to my issues and concerns, evaluated my x-rays and conducted a physical exam. He then recommended a course of action, which included a prescription for the pain, an OTC pain ointment and a recommendation for physical therapy. His surgical skill completely repaired my problem and left me in much better shape than I was before. And pain-free.
He was great. He explained everything and explained what he was going to do. Offered me questions. Also he has a great spirit about him.
Dr. Merz is a great doctor. He explained the procedure well and what I needed to do when I arrive home. Listens to patients needs and concerns. I would definitely recommend.

Very thorough exam
Previous to seeing Dr. Merz, I had seen another orthopedic surgeon who diagnosed me with hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis. I started having more pain the past month, including new 'stinging' pain in my left glute, thigh and shin. I saw Dr. Merz to discuss this new pain and see what my options are.
