Can't recommend this clinic unfortunately. I visited 2-3 times with no issues with billing and lab tests in the past, however, this January I visited and received a bill from Quest directly for lab tests I declined and did not authorize. I have been calling Midwest Express for over a month now, and I'm getting the runaround from several managers. Made an appointment online and input my insurance info. Showed up for my appointment and was told they don't cover Blue Cross HMOs and I'd have to pay out of pocket - minimum cost $120. Why TF they couldn't notify me of that before I dragged my sick self over there is beyond me. Cannot recommend and am never going back.

I was a patient at Midwest express urgent care this past week. I am an older female and also physician. My condition is some thing that is different in older women and can be quite dangerous in that it initially is a subtle discomfort that is the sign of an infection that can be messed. DO NOT GO FOR A FOLLOW UP IF YOU FEEL BETTER. The doctor will make it sound necessary but it is optional and you aren't charged for a no-show. If you go, you will be charged the same price AGAIN as your first visit. Their billing department is a total waste of time. Took me 3 months and 6+ phone calls until someone was finally able to submit a complaint. This place is a racket. Went in for an ear cleaning in May 2022. The entire process took maybe 15 minutes and a hydrogen peroxide/water solution was used to remove excess wax. The process itself was by far and away the most painful one I've ever experienced. I can't imagine the doctor who assisted me hasn't done this a thousand times before but it definitely felt like they watched a 2 min How-To YouTube video before rolling into my exam room. never received my bill. called them gave my address -nothing. got a credit card charge of $150 after 1,5 month since my visit. I have my pre-tax card for this issues-but no one asked or send me a bill. patient advocate line -left 7 messages through a reception-nothing. now go prove you have a good customer service. location-Lakeview Chicago. better go to a different express clinic in Lincoln park or Lakeview

I would give less than one star if I could. Please be ware of this place. My daughter, who is 17, was seen at Midwest Express Clinic (2868 N. Broadway) on 03/04/2022 for Covid testing. I had authorized only a Covid test, and the clinic called when my underage daughter was being seen and I mentioned that she is only to get a test and nothing else. They ILLEGALLY sent my information to the debt collectors when I had paid IN FULL one year ago at the visit. On June 24th, 2022, I received an email from MCA Collection Company trying to collect a debt that I paid in full at the time of my visit a year ago. Midwest Express Clinic sent my private information to the collectors and affected my credit score when there was NO pending balance. While in-between jobs I went here to get my prescription renewed for high blood pressure--a prescription I've had for years. This required a physical (I'm required to have one once a year for the scrip) which they did but the OOP cost for a physical here is something like $170. When it came time to refill the scrip this week they denied the pharmacy and when I called they told me I have to come back in--every MONTH--to have a physical in order to get the refill.
