I went to look at these apartments and I really wanted to love them. The office was closed when I first arrived and it was a few minutes before my appointment. We were about 15-20 minutes late getting started. The gym is right across from the office, which I didn't like the idea of everyone in the office watching you workout. It was also very small. the "courtyards" are terrible. One was basically just a mud hole and the other was looking pretty rough. The apartments they showed me were just okay. I lived in Mira Bella for 3 years before I have to move out because my boyfriend found a job in Orange County. When we first moved in, the rent was very reasonable and even kinda low for a luxury apartments. When our year came up to renewal they increased our rent by over $100.00 dollars even though other apartments that were being rented were going for less but since we didn't have time to move we decided to renewal our lease. From the outside Mira Bella looks amazing! Inside the apartments are beautiful, Maintenance is awesome!!!! Angelo and Pat are wonderful and so helpful, but EVERYTHING ELSE IS HORRIBLE!!! Run away from this place, seriously!!! The pool is constantly shut down. The hallways look like a prison and are stained with dog urine. There is always dog poop in the stairwell. The "security doors" are always being left open. The park nextdoor is a homeless person fight club. When they're not fighting, kids are getting wasted and c... read more

Might as well live downtown with how bad parking is for guests. Used to be a small area of parking spaces, but now you have to get a guest pass. You could have guests park at the park next door, which is what we typically do, but the signs say only 2 hours between 8am-6pm.

Moved to San Diego from Honolulu and was looking for a place in the Kearny Mesa area. The last time my wife and I lived in San Diego, the Mira Bella apartments were under construction. So we said if we ever came back to SD, we would look into these apartments. Mira Bella is centrally located. Several major highways are close by, downtown SD is about a 10 minute drive. I lived here for a year. To start off, I want to say that the actual apartments and grounds are nice and I would live there again if it weren't for their business practices. Additionally the maintenance staff is good and very helpful in my experience. Now for the cons. In general they seem to overcharge for everything here, and it's pretty clear that the company doesn't care about you other than how much money they can get out of you. Things you need to know right now. 1)They did NOT throughly clean my apartment before I moved in. There was no carpet cleaning, just a quick run of the vacuum. How do I know? When I moved in there was an eating stud on the floor in the bathroom and when I closed the windows the carpet started to smell like Body Odor. I really loved this apartment when I first moved in. Megan in the office helped me with the tour, and I was able to secure an apartment right by the park. It was gorgeous! It was a one bedroom, nice cabinets and grantie countertops. I was able excited that we were right next to the outdoor area with the grills and fireplace! Megan was able to hook me up and only $99 deposit to move in (I was military) and a pet deposit. The place has underground parking and its unassigned. Not as great as I thought. They charge if ur trash is out after hours. Quality not as great. Better to own then rent. Also it was fine at first but then don't feel as safe as I got my car broken into and smell marijuana in the hall ways.
