Mira Bella seems like a great community, and in some ways it is. The facilities are great, and the staff put on a kind face. But this is only superficial. We moved in and within two months we noticed we were getting bitten at night. Sure enough, bed bugs were found! They insisted that we brought them with us, even though we had never had problems in the past. Then, they chose the most expensive solution and billed us for half of it. This came to about $4,000. Mira Bella has the worst tenants ever. Especially apt #168! Do not live above him. He complains to management and will call security every night just for walking around your home. At one point everyone was tip toeing around my apt and he still was complaining. He is crazy, this neighbor literally came to my door and threatened me on the first day I moved in. Also stated he will have me kicked out like the last tenants! Caught off guard and maintained my cool. Told the manager the following day and of course nothing was done.... read more

I already left a review but Mirabella's management managed to have it removed siting "privacy issues" as I named them by name....so here it goes again. I have had a very bad experience with this company and lost two weeks of valuable time while I could have and should have looked somewhere else. I went to look at these apartments and I really wanted to love them. The office was closed when I first arrived and it was a few minutes before my appointment. We were about 15-20 minutes late getting started. The gym is right across from the office, which I didn't like the idea of everyone in the office watching you workout. I lived in Mira Bella for 3 years before I have to move out because my boyfriend found a job in Orange County. When we first moved in, the rent was very reasonable and even kinda low for a luxury apartments. When our year came up to renewal they increased our rent by over $100.00 dollars even though other apartments that were being rented were going for less but since we didn't have time to move we decided to renewal our lease. From the outside Mira Bella looks amazing! Inside the apartments are beautiful, Maintenance is awesome!!!! Angelo and Pat are wonderful and so helpful, but EVERYTHING ELSE IS HORRIBLE!!! Run away from this place, seriously!!! The pool is constantly shut down. The hallways look like a prison and are stained with dog urine. There is always dog poop in the stairwell. Might as well live downtown with how bad parking is for guests. Used to be a small area of parking spaces, but now you have to get a guest pass. You could have guests park at the park next door, which is what we typically do, but the signs say only 2 hours between 8am-6pm.

Moved to San Diego from Honolulu and was looking for a place in the Kearny Mesa area. The last time my wife and I lived in San Diego, the Mira Bella apartments were under construction. So we said if we ever came back to SD, we would look into these apartments. Mira Bella is centrally located. Several major highways are close by, downtown SD is about a 10 minute drive. I lived here for a year. To start off, I want to say that the actual apartments and grounds are nice and I would live there again if it weren't for their business practices. Additionally the maintenance staff is good and very helpful in my experience. Now for the cons. In general they seem to overcharge for everything here, and it's pretty clear that the company doesn't care about you other than how much money they can get out of you.
