It's a gym so what can I say? I hate them. I hate having to go there. I think we should all by healthy & skinny always. Reality says that for a gym this one rocks. Super clean & the equipment is in great shape. The locker rooms are clean too. They have tanning, childcare, & a hair salon & chiropractor. Shawn is sales is the best & you should talk to him if you need a membership.

Bad customer service. In every department!! All the way up to the Manager. Glad there is a month to month option. I go to relax and feel good, I don't wanna hear drama from employees. Really!? This is what I pay for? Also I was told they clean with organic cleaning solution. Bold face lie!!! They just wanted me to sign up. This type of thing is important to me. When I tried to complain I was not taken serious, so I cancelled!!!!

Finally getting around to my reviews. Got to give good ones where they are due! This gym made me into a gym rat and I enjoyed it. This place worked for me. I liked the laid back atmosphere and enjoyed seeing the many familiar smiling faces when I was there. I purchased trainer sessions when I first joined. I started with a trainer that really helped me overcome some of my sports injuries. I enjoyed the personal workouts and they imparted knowledge on various techniques. I have been a member at Mountainside Peoria for almost 1 year now. Initially I was happy with the facility; however, over time, I have have become frustrated and disappointed with both the facility and the customer service. I submitted a few concerns regarding broken equipment, cold showers. depletion of toiletries in the women's lockerroom and lack of advertised Underamour merchandise. I walked in there last night to the location next to the US Airways arena in Downtown Phoenix while I was out running with my dog. The two guys in front , one which simply said that his name was Jose just stood there looking at me like I had a horn growing out of my head. I tried to break the ice by making a joke about catching my breath and they still stood there. Nice gym for the right price . People are friendly and knowledgeable. Wish it was closer but it's not so I will continue to go to lifetime.

I joined on a month-to-month plan in July, 2012. The gym is pretty good, no real complaints about the facility or staff. In September, they hit me with a $25 "enhancement fee" out of the blue. The claim from corporate billing was that this is in the contract. I don't remember anything about it, and I'm completely sure it was never pointed out by the guy that signed me up. I attended a trial membership at the Mountainside Fitness off of Carefree Highway earlier this year. After reading these reviews, I thought it might be beneficial if Yelp contains some feedback from a different perspective. I agree with others that this place is very clean; the equipment is well-maintained; and it is never too busy. But... 1) The fitness and yoga classes, of which there are plenty to choose, were ALMOST all scheduled between 8am and 5:30pm. I signed up here on March 2, 2012. I have been everyday except Friday, Sats and Suns since. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I hate the way I am so out of shape and how I am reminded of this every time I walk in, but by the time I walk out, I realize, that I am getting IN shape and that makes me love Mountainside.
