I really like this location mostly b/c it's so close to my studio. I also like that it's small, clean and quick to get to. Once inside it's not so huge that it takes 15 minutes walking to different sections upstairs and downstairs, as it does in other country clubs. Staff is very friendly. The only thing I would change is the choice of music as well as the volume!!!! I've listened to "Sweet Child Of Mine" more times than Id like to admit. High pitched male screaming gets old after awhile. It was great while I was a senior in... read more
Worst Customer service ever. I've been a member and love mountainside. I also have the executive membership at this location. The manager is awful with no Customer service skills. I hate going there because she's just awful... I just let it be because I am there to workout but she pushed me over when I bought friends on my guest passes and was rude to them ... to top it off she wants me to be there with them the whole time. This is insane. This may not be the position for her as she's always rude. This is just not a good rep... read more
After a year hiatus from gyms due to covid, I signed up to Mountainside, switching from LA. The executive club being my primary location. They definitely have an extra $60 fee for use of this club. If you sign up as a couple, that is not doubled, still just $60! I live close to the area and run/walk to this gym. It's definitely small and more limited than other locations, but nevertheless their equipment is always quality and cleanliness is unparalleled in most commercial gyms. Max weights are 90, and for heavier I go to oth... read more
How can a gym close at 2 PM on the weekends? This place is a joke. I would recommend looking into alternative workout options.
This location closes at 2 pm on the weekends. That's absurd. Change your weekend hours please to something reasonable like 6 pm & I will be happy to change my review, as I actually love everything else about this location. I joined not realizing that weekend hrs of operation were so screwed up and non of my friends want to join now because of this issue. :(
Do not under any circumstances sign up with this gym or give them access to your credit cards. Worst customer service ever. They make it impossible to cancel. Closed during the pandemic and voicemail says you have to come into a location to cancel. Then they just started taking whatever payments they wanted - I had a charge of $114 and $72 when my monthly membership was $38. I'll be reporting them to the BBB. The worst.
If i could give this zero stars i would. The customer service i received from Sheila, the general manager was disappointing and i will not be going back.
I was pretty displeased with my recent customer service experience. Obviously, a lot of things have changed because of Covid. With that, I'd expect a little flexibility. My situation changed in that I've been working from home since March and will be for the long term as well. Used to go to the gym near my office, but that's no longer feasible. I live over 40 minutes from the nearest Mountainside, so having a membership no longer makes sense. I've tried to go in person to cancel twice in the last couple months, both times to... read more
Do not sign up with Mountainside Fitness unless you are ready to deal with their runarounds. First, whenever you try to cancel, they will ask you to come in person (especially when you tell them you are "out of state"). Then, they will ask you to send a letter in regular mail to the address. After that, they will ask you to send a certified letter to their corporate office separate from their branch. One side note, take a look at their charges - you will see them consistently changing their merchant names such as (xxxx Mount... read more
