I was pretty displeased with my recent customer service experience. Obviously, a lot of things have changed because of Covid. With that, I'd expect a little flexibility. My situation changed in that I've been working from home since March and will be for the long term as well. Used to go to the gym near my office, but that's no longer feasible. I live over 40 minutes from the nearest Mountainside, so having a membership no longer makes sense. I've tried to go in person to cancel twice in the last couple months, both times to... read more

Do not sign up with Mountainside Fitness unless you are ready to deal with their runarounds. First, whenever you try to cancel, they will ask you to come in person (especially when you tell them you are "out of state"). Then, they will ask you to send a letter in regular mail to the address. After that, they will ask you to send a certified letter to their corporate office separate from their branch. One side note, take a look at their charges - you will see them consistently changing their merchant names such as (xxxx Mount... read more

It's 2020. Mountainside Fitness has a dedicated app. The Mountainside Fitness website has a convenient "Contact Us" page. Every Mountainside Fitness location that I've been to has a check-in desk with a telephone and internet connected computer (at certain locations there are several). In order to cancel my membership right now, I need to "mail a notice via certified U.S. mail, return receipt requested, which should including your name, key tag number, and e-mail address". I was frustrated that Mountainside has invested in a... read more

Just your average pricy gym. Not much to offer at camelback location and poor hours. Other locations are not very impressive. Hard to find parking when busy and the club does not offer a pool with its pricy membership fee. If you're looking for a total gym, look elsewhere. Nice staff though!

Went in to look for a membership for a new gym. The front desk lady wasn't the nicest and completely turned myself and 2 of my friends away from wanting to join after our first workout. She wasn't necessarily the most rude but there was no welcoming feeling, no discussion of the gym itself and no information on passes. Machines are nice and new. It was also clean

It's an OK little GYM, never crowded, very new and clean, but man the hours are just absolutely terrible. Would love to keep going here but the hours are just impossible for people who work late. Pretty sure there's no sauna/steam room either which is default for other locations. This location is basically a glorified apartment building workout area.

I absolutely hate that they open the garage door wall as much as they do. If I wanted to work out outside, I could have saved the money of joining a gym. Some of us have allergies and really suffer from the pollen brought in through the open doors. Not to mention the smell of cigarettes from people on the street level restaurants smoking. Doesn't make my workout pleasant at all.

I really really like the location of this gym, but the hours have made working out here impossible, and I joined because it was close to my home. When I joined I was told the hours would be changing, but that hasn't happened. I did call and ask when that would be happening and the gal who answered said I was more than welcome to go to one of the other locations farther from my home....why would I do that? LA Fitness is even closer to my home as is Planet Fitness, and they are less and open better hours. Super bummed.

What an awesome location! So brand new, I love the equipment and open balcony for outside workouts and fresh air, definitely a plus! I usually workout early mornings and it has a decent crowd, but not too busy which is nice since this is a smaller gym than other locations. Since it is convenient to my office, I will stop by occasionally on my lunch break for a workout as well. The staff is always friendly and gym/showers are well maintained. I wouldn't mind having a smoothie bar, which I heard they may be planning on adding ... read more
