I booked a room with two queens beds for me, my husband and our two year old son for a quick getaway to celebrate my husbands birthday. I had called ahead of time asking for a crib just in case and was told no problem, but we never received one. We had a few bugs that we had to kill, shower soap dispenser had fellen off the wall before we arrived, they charged us for coffee and we had a critter that i suspect was a rat making noise in the ceiling above us as i tried to sleep. They would not refund our stay.
Room was not ready for 3 pm check in. We were told that we would be given a 5th floor room with a nice view, and we would get a call when it was ready - so we went into Mystic. The call never came. We went back to the front desk later that evening and were given a room on the 2nd floor. The gentleman who took our luggage was beyond helpful and gracious - thank you! There was a knocking sound every time the ac kicked in. I was woken about 5-6 time throughout the night and didn't sleep well.
Disappointing for a Marriott. Very underwhelming. Room very uncomfortable.
The property (other than the room) was filthy. Bottles were left on tables in the bar area overnight. There was garbage in the parking area in front of the hotel on the road overflowing from the trash. The hallways were dirty.
