I have taken my Yorkie to NAH since he was 9 weeks old. They were great at first. On 6/23/21 I took him to the hospital for a nail cut and what they call a sanitary cut, which is cut/cleaning private area, he was taken back and a short time after a lady brought him out to me saying they cant do that and they were going to sedate him. I lost it, yes my fur baby has some anxiety but he is not unmanageable. Then I had him checked by a Dr. I was left in the waiting room I feel they were hiding something, not to mention that he w... read more
I took my kitten for the first visit there as it started hiding and become anxious during the last two days. It was examined by their vet who told me that my cat has fiver ( he measured her rectal temperature - 100.4F), that it has probably virus infection, and that he will give it an injection(not specified), fluids, and will prescribe antibiotics to prevent secondary infection. As an M.D. I was surprised that he gave it antibiotics for the viral infection( I honestly doubt that he had a clue what is happening to my kitten)... read more
My first visit to Naperville Animal Hospital seemed too good to be true last year. It was. I brought my cat in after 4 inconsistent digestive issues. Due to her behaviors, it was normal for an x-ray to rule out blockages. I was informed she had inflamed intestines, was not offered labs, and was offered antibiotics and probiotics. My cat was actually given an anti-nausea injection and probiotics, but no antibiotics. Two days later, she caught an upper respiratory infection. I brought her back in and requested labs. A new vete... read more
This review is for boarding your dog there. I called to get a tour, they told me to just come by and call when outside. So I did that and then they tell me they can't do a tour bc of covid. I said well on the phone they said they would. So then they let me in and proceed to tell me my dog would have to be checked there once a year before boarding. So switch my vet then?? According to my tour guide the dogs are only outside of their crates for 40 mins a day. No thank you.
Business response:
We are sorry for the miscommunication and for the inconvenience you experienced. Our policy with boarding pets is to establish some type of relationship with our doctors. That is done for your pet's well being. The animals that board with us get plenty of out of the cage time in our beautiful outdoor exercise/play space as well as interaction with our loving kennel staff. We apologize that you didn't receive complete information. We wish you and your dog the best.
This place is extremely poorly managed. They'd rather keep a social circle than run a tight ship. The workers left there during the morning shifts will leave calls on hold for over 10 minutes on any given day. The pet plan manager is extremely disrespectful and not a nice person. It's a shame this place had so much potential. But it falls short due to the unfortunate management and the unhappy employees.
The doctors are great, but you can't make an appointment, so you never get to see the same vet. A tech hurt my dog while expressing her anal glands. She cried out twice & she's tough. My other dog's nail was clipped too short & they didn't tell me. After we came home, I found blood all over the floor and 3 of our area rugs! I spent 1.5 hours cleaning up blood. I realize accidents happen, but I wasn't made aware of the situation, so I asked the manager for a reimbursement ($19). I was told, "I'll let the owners know, b... read more
Business response:
Thank you for allowing us to communicate with you to work to make things right. We are sorry your experience was less than satisfactory and take your feedback seriously.
Either they are extremely unorganized or discriminatory or both but I just left this animal hospital for a scheduled dental cleaning for my dog. The time for drop off was 8 am, I arrived at 7:55 am. I was the second car in line for curbside. Next thing I know several other cars pulled in to park too. Long story short every other car was serviced by 8:30 am but mine. I had already spoken to one of their employees when she skipped my car the first time, she said she'll be right out but never came. So I called again and she sai... read more
I HATE going to this vet because the girls at the front desk usually have a bad attitude and treat the customers like they are bad people for choosing to take their pet to this vet. BeWARE! Usually I don't say anything about this sort of thing because I really understand people have bad days, but this is almost all of the time and has been consistent for years at this vet. After this last time the girl in particular was rude to me AND even more so to a customer who came in after me for no reason so I feel like she is proba... read more
