If you have a day job (9a-5p), this is not the vets office for you. Better to look for an office more accommodating to that type of work schedule cause they'll refuse service and tell you to come back the next day earlier to avoid this. They close at 8p on week days but they stop taking walk-ins at 4:30p and don't allow appointments. It's disappointing cause I drove an hour to learn as this has never happened before but times have changed. I should have called so my mistake but would be nice to get notice on schedule changin... read more
Business response:
We apologize for the delayed response and truly appreciate you being a long-time client. We regret that you had an unsatisfactory experience when you came in last Friday. Our schedule has not changed, as our doctor's hours have always ended at 7pm and the clinic is open until 8pm. Depending on the wait on any given day, as well as the number of doctors and staff we have on hand, we are unable to add more people to the list for that day. We do appreciate you returning to the clinic on Saturday and are glad we could take care ... read more
The doctors are fine, need to get their act together on time estimates. Called ahead and was told about a half an hour, got here in 5 minutes and it was then an hour. Ok, these things happen. The waited 2 hours for an appt while my dog is struggling to breath. Very frustrating experience.
Business response:
Dan, we honestly hesitate to provide time estimates as it is impossible for us to know when people will be walking in or what their needs will be. As one of the only walk-in clinics in the area, it allows us the opportunity to help more animals in need and for people to have their animals seen without an appointment, however it also makes it extremely difficult to let people know what the wait will be. We can promise that we truly try to be as efficient as possible and accommodate everyone's needs. There is always the option... read more
*Typed up this review a few weeks ago, but didn't post until now because I wanted to make sure my cat was alright and healthy before posting anything.* I am so disappointed in this place. My cat started vomiting a few days ago and wasn't eating. We usually go to a different vet, but they don't do walk-ins and we wanted our cat to be seen right away, so we took her to Naperville Animal Hospital. We went on a Friday around 11:30am, which is understandably a busy time, so they told us the wait time would be 1-2 hours. When it ... read more

Angel, we do not respond to reviews as a means to have a client return to the clinic, but rather to offer our sincere apologies for your unsatisfactory experience. We take your feedback seriously and understand why you are upset. We regret the lack of communication and explanation about your cat and are happy you found a facility you feel comfortable with for your pet's care and wish you the best.
The staff was great and very helpful. Unfortunately it was the doctor. He will fool you with his soft voice and concern. My dog was very sick. I did blood tests to find out what's going on. I was told the results would be in the next day. I called the office 4 times and left a message to find out what's going on. I was assured every time he would call me back. I finally received a call 5 min before closing telling me I need to put her down asap. I was also told if I decide to come in the morning the dog may not survive the ... read more

Iwona, you have our sincere condolences and we profusely apologize that you did not receive a call back earlier in the day. Our doctor's try very hard to keep up with communication while also seeing clients in person and we will continue to seek to improve on that to ensure this does not happen again. Our manager will be contacting you to further discuss. Took my dog here a couple of times because of GI issues. They could never give me a clear answer to what was wrong and continued to charge me so much time after time. After the third visit I decided to go elsewhere and our new vet was able to figure it out right away.
Business response:
Alyssa, we sincerely regret your unsatisfactory experience and are always be happy to discuss the situation further with you at any time. We are glad you got an answer to your dog's issue and wish you all the best.
I'm 70 and on a budget. I was told my pet needed an X-ray, I asked how much I was told $70 extra. It was about $250 extra. I now will have to borrow money for rent My cat got an allergy shot for another $60 I will be looking for another vet
Business response:
Thank you Susan for letting us know about your concerns and giving our manager the opportunity to discuss them with you over the phone. As promised, she checked with our staff and has left you a message to call her back to resolve the situation. We sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding about the costs and please know that we are also more than happy to address anything that seems amiss at the time of the visit.
Change your vet for the sake of your pet. I have a dog and they kept me on the hook for a minor ear infection for over a month and kept putting in expensive drops that basically needed an oral pill when I consulted another vet. I feel horrible and cheated.
Business response:
Abhishek, we regret that you were unhappy with the care we provided for your dog's ear infection. Our veterinarians perform an examination, make a diagnosis and recommend what they believe is the best care based on their findings. We always welcome any questions or concerns from our clients at any time. If you'd like to speak to a manager, please call us at 630-355-5300 or send us an email at petcare@napervilleanimalhospital.com.
I have boarded my dog there for years. He has Cushing's disease and I specifically asked them NOT to bathe him. When I picked him up, he looked as if he had been burned. His hair was gone and skin exposed. It was bright red as if he had been scrubbed. He also was covered with an oily substance. My guess is they tried to treat his skin and he had a horrible reaction. They denied giving him a bath even though I could smell the shampoo . They also did not give him all of the medication I had left to be given during his stay. J... read more
Price gouging at its finest, took two dogs in for grooming and shots and recieved a bill in excess of $1,000. Checked with the AKC and found on average the prices for shots were $10-$30 above the high end of what the cost of shots should be. Also charged an additional Examination/Consult/Office Visit, recieved no feedback/explanation on why this was done or any information towards the health/ well being of my dogs.
Business response:
We regret that you had an unsatisfactory experience and take your feedback seriously. When a client is new to our clinic, it is standard for the pets to be examined by one of our veterinarians to ensure the health and status of their vaccines, etc. We cannot perform grooming or offer boarding or other services without an up-to-date exam. We do regular price comparing/matching with other area clinics to ensure that our prices are fair and in line. One of our managers will be reaching out to you to review the charges and discu... read more
