TOO SMALL - DANGEROUS FOR USE It looks exactly the same size as the grey one for my Hot Springs, BUT ITS NOT. It is slightly skinnier. . When I installed it it sank all the way to the bottom of my filter tubes where it is still stuck today. Because it is a hair thinner that the piping I can't fish it out.
Seems Safe Using this for 10 years. No one died yet!
Quality sanitizer stick Works as advertised. I'll buy it again.
Works great. Mine did not fit in the filter so ... Works great. Mine did not fit in the filter so I just laid it down in my basket just above. Probably better that way as I would be worried about clogging the water line or even slipping down and getting stuck. Our water is clear and no chemical odor.
Beware of Extension tube failures. Installed the sanitizer in my spa using both support stems. I have a Strong Spa that uses 2 closed top filter cartridges. In less than 24 hours noticed that the pump sound changed dramatically. When I removed the filter cartridge that contained the mineral cartridge I discovered that the mineral cartridge had been sucked fully into the intake. Upon removing the mineral cartridge, I noticed that the 2nd extension tube had been snapped off and was not in the standpipe. I'm now in the process ... read more
Does not fit Hot Spring Vista spa Our vista spa requires a small lip on the item. This one does not have it, so it drops all the way down into the orifice and you can't get to it. I had to use a couple knives to get it out. Has the same stuff inside, but the case is wrong. You need this item: Hot Spring Spas Freshwater Ag+ Continuous Silver Ion Sanitizer - 71325. On the picture, you can see a small lip on the end of it. Without that, the filter doesn't work.
Better Spa Sanitation This is my second Nature 2 Spa Stick and as a new Spa Owner, deciding what to use to Sanitize your Spa is far more complicated than it should be. I ordered this item because it slides easily into my Spa Filter Cartridge and really helps sanitize my spa with less DiChlor. My only complaint is the manufacturer is does not elaborate on how much DiChlor or MPS to use while using this Spa Stick.
