Tried on a Whim, Will Never Go Back to Other Sticks I tried this mineral stick after using the Froggie mineral stick for about a year. After using it for about a month, I will never go back to the Froggie stick. This mineral stick regulates the chemicals in the water way better and I have not had to use nearly as much chemicals to regulate the spa. Rigged it in Intex PureSpa I have this rigged in my Intex PureSpa and it seems to be working well. I hardly add any chlorine now, just a little every few days, water is super clear. It doesn't fit in the Intex filters so I just used a zip tie to attach it to the water inlet jet so the water is always flowing through it.
We are out $65 for a service call and another $40 for the cartridge after part of the stand was sucked into the pump Do NOT buy this product! The design is flawed! awesome This works amazingly well in our small spa. I was confused about where to put it but once I tried sticking it in I realized that the filter is set up to take this in a small hole. It works amazingly well. No more gross chemical mistakes!
Two Stars wasn't really happy with this product
Works well! A couple adults, daily use of the 300 gal spa, almost no chemicals added (maybe a cap of chlorine every couple weeks) and the spa stays good with the silver cartridge and the ozonator (which is really old, I'm not sure it makes ozone any more!). Minus one star because there isn't a way to see/measure how much silver remains in the cartridge (I don't like date-driven approach to changing the cartridge, I'd much prefer to replace when the silver is actually used up)

Good To be honest, I'm not 100% sure what the heck this thing does, but I do know it makes a difference in water quality and maintenance when I don't use it.
One Star the only reason I say this is because it really doesn't show you how to install it.
