This company sells nothing but garbage. We installed our residential combi boiler about 5 years ago. I’ve lost count of the times that we’ve been without heat and hot water. Tonight is now the 3rd time in 4 months. Really sucks that my first responder husband can’t take shower after work where he’s exposed to Coronavirus. Thanks for nothing Navien.

Our boiler was installed brand new. At 6 years it started having issues with an error that the service company cannot resolve, even with the help of Navien tech support and engineering. Navien will not cover any of it under warranty or even provide a solution to fix the issue. Beware of the CH-240 units and support from Navies..

Customer service and tech dept is terrible. Our repair guy called them to fix a problem we had and they just started having them put in new parts. Our water heater was making a strange noise when it ran. They actually had them put on a new exhaust outside that was longer and thought that was the problem after it ran fine for several years. The actual fix was an 88 dollar part plus an hour of labor. This cost us 700 dollars due to all the new parts and repeated trips out to fix it for the repair place. Awful customer service. Reps get little attitudes when callers know as much or more than them. The reps answering the phones should watch a few YouTube videos like all other navien owners do because our units need so much attention, they may learn some and be able to keep up in a conversation and not get lost understanding how these mediocre boilers work. Will not buy another navien product based on how Terrible the service is. Not helping customers fix their products after we own them is heinous. Stand behind your product ... read more

This past Saturday I removed a Navien NCB-240 combi boiler from my house. The removal of this unit culminated and concluded an over four year long nightmare. In the short time this boiler was in my house, it was not uncommon for it to stop working on the coldest day of the year (I'm from New England), go into error for absolutely no reason, leak, and even flood my basement for good measure. I pulled up your file and it looks like the last time a claim was made under the warranty was three years ago in February 2017. At that time, the plumber was having issues with the pump over and over again so we kept sending new ones, but we also requested a water sample to make sure there wasn’t debris in your water that was causing the pump to get clogged. We are without hot water til Monday. Our system is only 3 years old and although covered by warranty, we have to wait for 3 days for part to be delivered and then PAY someone hundreds of $ to have it installed. This is a brand new system that should of lasted more than 3 years!!! Thought we were doing the right thing going with a tankless system. And fyi no one tells you if the power goes out you dont have hot water with a tankless system. NEVER AGAIN

We have had nothing but issues with this system. We have had numerous technicians to our home and as well have gone long periods of time in the middle of the winter with no heat! We just spent the Christmas holiday with company at our home and a heating system that constAntly shuts down. We have woken up to a house at 47 deg multiple times! I have had my system for a month now. I would not recommend this product to anyone for 4 reasons. 1. When purchasing a hot water system the objective is to have hot water (not so) 2. The system keeps failing ( I get e 003 codes almost daily) 3. I have had two Navien Service people come and tell me the system is fixed or ok ..and 4 I have to wait minutes for hot water in certain parts of the domain, Its Xmas eve and I have had 4 e0003 codes this after we installed a 1 inch gas line and checked gas pressures.

I am on my third unit in less than 10 years. Warranty is good but it’s the labor costs that kill me. Why should I have to pay for the replacement cost three times. Lost a lot of $$$$. I still worry all the time if the new one will break down anytime soon.
