Navien is voiding the warranties of all their products in Texas due to winter storm URI. Doesn’t matter what your particular circumstances were (unit failed was indoor/outdoor or had electricity or not or you had heat or not) - all Navien tankless heater warranties are voided since Texas as a whole went through “the act of God” that was the winter storm URI. Mr. Choi, we are sorry about the experience you’ve had to go through. We want to explain that a catastrophic weather event such as the one in TX will cause parts in the unit to crack where the water froze and expanded. This isn’t about the unit having a manufacturer defect which is why the warranty doesn’t come into play here. We encourage you to reach out to your homeowner’s insurance or FEMA to see if they are able to assist you at all.
We have a plastic 90 that got a crack in it and has small drip. Tried to buy piece so we could have licensed plumber install the piece and they will not sale it to us. We are know at two weeks without hot water. Even tried their recommended plumbers and still waiting with no estimated time of repair. Had to pay $136 to have their preferred plumber tell us he does not have part.

My brother, his pregnant wife, and two young children have been without heat for weeks. Their warrantied boiler is a piece of junk and Navien has been absolutely no help. The heating company and my brother and sister in law have left dozens of messages. My brother’s business is plowing snow and he missed customer’s calls today because he was left on hold for 30 minutes. Water heater sucks. Don’t buy one.
Our 4 year old Navien tankless hot water heaters’s heat exchange rotted out. Customer service has been less than helpful and it appears Navien does not stand behind their products. We had a professional plumbing company come out to take pictures as Navien requested to get this issue resolved and we have been getting the run around after 2 hours on hold. I will be contacting my local news station to pick up the story to warn consumers NOT to buyer Navien products.

Concerned about staining on the top of my 3 year old model NPE-210A - looks as if the installer fastened the fitting with drywall screws! On hold for over 30 minutes just to give your customer “service” my serial number - just needed you to look at photos but your website has no option to do that! Beware of this product!
Buyer beware!!! Do not buy Navien!!!! Good luck we are on our second unit. It is now three years old the previous unit was just 10 years old. It is 23rd of December I can’t get any local plumbers to come look at this I call Navien and the troubleshooting guy won’t even talk to me without a license contractor on site then refers me to their website to try to find one. This company has the worst product. We have not had this product since January 2017. It has had to have 3 repairs. And we go without hot water for at least 4-7 days each time it screws up. And no one seems to care the unconvinced of this product. No we are without water and we are also being told that we have to replace these parts one of which have already been replaced already (the motherboard). I would never recommend this product.
