This place would make anyone crazy. Thier rude and unorganized staff make it impossible to get any help. My husband was admitted for opiate detox and addiction which he went voluntarily and desperately seeking help. After he was admitted, he received no treatment for the 1st 24 hours. He was just left to wonder what was going on. I had to call and raise hell and even make a trip up there to find out what was going on. Once I did that, he was given more opiates. Really? He was trying to get off of them and they gave him mo... read more

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING GOING INPATIENT VOULENTARILY, STOP! CALL 211, OR YOUR LOCAL E.R! I would give NTBH a ZERO if I could. I arrived at approximately 9:30pm & greeted by a very nice man who was kind, patient and answered my questions. Problem was, he neglected to tell me that once you are admitted & brought to your "unit", all the beautiful pics on the website (my personal reason for choosing NTBH were the website pics) was garbage and the place is a dump. Most of the staff are babysitters. And I say babysit because ... read more

My S/O checked himself in voluntarily, he was placed in a room and then ignored for the next twelve hours. He went a full 24 hours without even knowing what was going on with his health care. I had to call the facility (if you can even call it that) 13 times just to find out what was going on, the receptionist Gabby transferred me everywhere except the place I asked to be transferred to. Once I finally reached his unit I asked the charge nurse Michelle about what was going on, she rudely told me they did not have his chart ... read more

This place is amazing. We took our son to Florida Hospital as he suffers from depression and was having an episode. I specifically requested that if my son is being transferred to a facility to please send him to one in Pasco county. Obviously, the Case Manager on duty that night was worthless and only wanted to get my son out of the hospital. She made no attempt to contact any facility in Pasco but transferred my son to Gracepoint in Hillsborough. OMG this place is awful. My son spent the night in intake with 50 other... read more

I wish there was a negative star. It is looney bin. I would never leave a loved one here. I was admitted to detox and found myself in a mental hospital. Terrible facility, awful rooms, gross food, treated like a crazy person and they even screwed up my detox meds so I detox ed med free. Aweful place. Stay away.

DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY MEMBER OR ADMITT YOURSELF TO THIS PLACE!!! The website and intake consultants are liars. I voluntary signed myself in for panic attacks and anxiety. I am struggling with coping skills, I made a very hard, huge decision to get help. And instead of getting help. I basically signed myself into prison. The "nursing staff" are rude and verbally rude to patients and barely speak to you. Even when you request, there are "techs" that are regular people who I caught on multiple occasions talking bad about pa... read more

With chronic daily migraine, a sudden change in migraine preventatives, and a high-stress job. I had an anxiety attack in the middle of a major business project. Neurologists and psychiatrists who know SNRI medications were fully booked, so USF suggested North Tampa Behavioral Clinic. I made an appointment for Friday afternoon, and agreed to stay overnight to see an expert physician in the morning. Dr. Rogers was excellent. He explained the (very bad) effects of changing from Effexor to Wellbutrin overnight, the specific ... read more

I would hope that the proper authorities do something about this center. I was in this place unwillingly and was treated in humanely. I was awestruck by the lack of professionalism by all staff members. Most of them were not qualified to do things that a trained mental health professional should have been doing. I was over 8 months pregnant and they refused to give prescribed medications for the health of my child and myself. Thank god the child is still alive. No thanks to Dr. Hart that did not check my medical history or r... read more

The building is very nice and clean but their business seems only to scam the insurance companies and individuals. My son was admitted late on a Tuesday evening (7 PM) -- when I got down to the place, I was not allowed to see or talk to him or any so called dr. there because I did not know his patient ID because they did not give it to me. I waited in the lobby for several hours until they finally agreed to let me call him but not see him. I asked the dr. to call me but he was always too busy or not there. I was told tha... read more
