I just contracted a 10'X10' on 1/21/26 and today 3/19/26 I am getting a notification where my rent for the same space is going up by over 10.5%. Is this consider fair business practices? I do not believe since the space was not promoted as special pricing. What seems to be happening, since move it purchased most of the storage locations in our area, they have control of pricing. It does not seem to be Fair Business Practice.

The policies at Rightspace regarding missed or late payments are predatory. Charging absorbent late fees, lien fees, lock cutting fees, pre lien notice fees further contribute to the hardship a tenant faces. Selling a tenants property should only be used as a last resort. Especially considering a large percentage of auctioned units contain mostly personal items that are of little to no value to anyone other than the tenant.
