********* broke doors in our home, couldn't match up deadbolts, made re-keyed locks harder to use, and lied about locks being so old that he'd need to install expensive new ones that aren't covered by home warranty. Couldn't provide a receipt w/ (likely illegal subcontracting) the business's name on it.Took this all to ORHP who promised to and never got back to me.When I followed up with them they told me I'm SOL.

You DO NOT need to buy a home warranty from OLD REPUBLIC HOME PROTECTION because they're not going to cover your damages anyways. All around rude.... we did our final walk through and the air was fine that morning. After closing. We came back home and the air was good and home was comfortable. The temp picked up and later that day we notice it was getting warmer and figured it may needed freon or something. My husband called this company and they said they wouldn't cover it on closing day. Horrible...I have 3 properties in **** that had furnaces replaced and it's been so difficult and still no refund, just excuses of needing more break downs, being hung up on after waiting 30+mins, and lots of frustration. Do Not Recommend!!!

Have called OR several times and worked with a few different contracted electricians and plumbers. Feel the contracted providers often state that modifications are necessary to be able to charge unnecessary additional fees. I was able to catch one plumber in a lie that mods were necessary and thankfully got full coverage. Unfortunately there is no easy way to police the contracted providers since I am not an electrician or plumber. I got a home warranty when I purchased my home in March 2022. On the day before expiration of the policy (3/17/23), my dryer stopped working. I could not find the paperwork so I did not know the exact expiration date. The next day (Saturday 3/18/23) I called an appliance company for a service call.
