I do not recommend Old Republic for anyone that needs things fixed in a timely fashion. If the repair requires ORHP to order a part, be ready to wait a long time. My HVAC required a new motor on 7/18/23. After 1.5 weeks, I was informed the part was ordered and would take 3-5 business days to be ready for pick up by the service provider. I can't get the service provider or ORHP to check with the company preparing the part and they refuse to give me their information so I can check myself. We chose ORHP because of all of the things they advertised to cover. Our upstairs AC unit went out recently. Today is July 28 its been out for almost 3 weeks. The first day we noticed something wrong we gave them a call. They sent someone out and that company couldnt help us bc they said they didnt work on that type of unit. Now were not the experts in **** so we didnt know it was different types of units. So we had to wait for them to find someone else to come out. Terrible customer service!! An Agent didn't like my feedback so she hung up on me. I need a repair done on our pool which is covered according to the contract, but because I didn't answer their questions correctly they are refusing the pay for the repair. My AC is broken and they are contracted with someone who doesn't live in the area so can't come out for 2 weeks!! Lovely when it's 116 degrees every day and my house is 90 degrees inside. My fridge is still broken from Nov 2022, its jul 2023 now, still waiting for the purchasing department got the return barcode , how long do I have to wait ? I called multiple times in a month. 10 times already according to the costumer service. Talked to multiple manager.

Old Republic Home Protection (ORHP) seems like a scam. Their local providers have consistently demonstrated no interest in solving the problem; they just want to collect their fee. I have placed three service calls recently and in all three cases was told by the service provider that they couldn't provide the service. In all three cases, I had to pay their service fee and then hire my own service provider to provide the repair. I am being generous with two stars. Last winter I needed a new heat pump and ************ took five months for them to finally pay me, and they paid only half. You never talk to the same person, so you have to start over with the review of the claim each time.They stall, make excuses why I haven't been paid, ask for one more thing, then one more thing - dragging it out hoping you will drop the claim. Old Republic Home Protection is the worst warranty company that exists!!! Do not choose them for your Home Warranty plan!!! They are unreachable!! When you call they are COMPLETELY AUTOMATED!!! No human to speak with! The company they have come out ****************** in **** ** is extremely unprofessional and just shows up without notice and treats customers like trash because they have no repercussions. Old Republic needs to *********** companies and be a better company! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!

I definitely will not renew with this company. They could not find a Contractor within my state to replace my Garage Opener. Two contractors assigned, one 3 hours away and the other 7 hours away. And they had the audacity to charge me for a Service Call even though no one showed up.

I am not sure the service that is being paid for if you cant get an emergency repair done within the same day it happens. Honestly, there is no reason to have this service. The convoluted customer service experience, the long holds, and the companies selected not having availability.
