Horrible...I have 3 properties in **** that had furnaces replaced and it's been so difficult and still no refund, just excuses of needing more break downs, being hung up on after waiting 30+mins, and lots of frustration. Do Not Recommend!!!

Have called OR several times and worked with a few different contracted electricians and plumbers. Feel the contracted providers often state that modifications are necessary to be able to charge unnecessary additional fees. I was able to catch one plumber in a lie that mods were necessary and thankfully got full coverage. Unfortunately there is no easy way to police the contracted providers since I am not an electrician or plumber. I got a home warranty when I purchased my home in March 2022. On the day before expiration of the policy (3/17/23), my dryer stopped working. I could not find the paperwork so I did not know the exact expiration date. The next day (Saturday 3/18/23) I called an appliance company for a service call. I finally found my policy on Monday evening and discovered that I was covered on the date the dryer died. I called on Tuesday morning to make a claim. Horrible customer service.First they authorized me to use and outside contractor because they couldnt find anyone of their providers that would answer the phone. When the job was done, I told them it was ****** for broken and leaking pipes, now they say they will only give me ******? What kind of warranty is that? So its been 2 months now, I called today to see were is my check. The invoice was help up (?) and they said they would send it through and I had to wait another 20 days. Terrible service, terrible customer service.

IF I can give zero I would! Beware they try to get out of everything! I was with this company for 6 years and because my credit card expired and had to renew and had a 1-2 month lapse between coverage, they refused to fix by tub leak "because it happened before my coverage restarted"!! and another sink leak I had they wouldn't fix because the pipe was connected wrong when the house was built 20 YEARS AGO! I would give 0 stars if possible. Old Republic is the biggest scam in home warranties, I have no idea how they even have a **** and an A+ rating with the BBB. Their company is full of fine print that they don't explain when they're selling you the cow pie of lies, they don't cover anything and when it's time to have "peace of mind" they punch you in the gut. They were kind on the phone, but ******************** sent out did not know the difference between a sump pump and a sewer ejector pump. He said it would not be covered. He said the repair would cost 3K-5K for replacement. The out-of-network plumber we used to fix the pump told us it was infact a sump pump, He spoke with the insurance company and told them what he was going to do (one a 14 minute conversation) and they denied he told them what he was going to do. We have used this home protection company for several years with increasing cost and fees and decreasing coverage and services. I recently had a plumbing emergency. A contactor was scheduled for more than 24 hrs later. Unfortunately, this wasn't an option due to the nature of the problem. Old republic indicated I could call my own plumbing service and needed to obtain approval for any service greater than $250.
