The three appetizers we ordered were inedible. Cold. Tasteless. Of unknown ingredients.
I was super excited for this meal and what a disappointment. Our waitress didn’t tell us specials even though I heard another telling another table. She didn’t know the difference between prime and regular filet. My medium rare steak was well done. No red in it at all. Took 30 minutes to get another. Sides were good, but didn’t get to experience them with my dinner. Gordon Ramsey and Jeff Ruby are my favorites and I was hoping to add this place to my list but it was not even close.
We ordered the ribeye medium.. it came rare and it was tough. My sister couldn’t eat it. I ordered the lemon pasta and it was extremely dry. We also ordered the short ribs.. it was fine but there was only one. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Probably won’t return.
Best calamari but basically went downhill from there. Steaks tasted burnt, fries were very bland
We had below average service which made our first experience not so good. I also think adding in a service fee to my bill without my knowledge is not a good business practice. I understand why it is done with comps being used, but we should have been advised. I am a Black level member and will still patronize Derby City, however Oliver's needs some repair.
If you feel that arriving for a 6pm reservation, receiving your meal at 8pm (party of 4) and food not prepared as expected is your thing, then dine at this restaurant. The meal and experience that our group received was probably the worst meal that I have ever had in my life at a so called 4-star restaurant. It took two hours to receive three ribeye steaks and side dishes. After speaking with the waiter and the manager (Jones) multiple times, the food finally arrived ice cold with steaks at the incorrect temperature. When we... read more
Server was excellent. He should have been embarrassed by the food quality. We had French onion soup. Cold with a crouton that requires a hatchet to cut. Calamari that tastes like two day old popcorn. We’ll never go back and recommend others avoid this place as well.
Food tasted burnt The steak was terrible and service was very slow
Salad was great, wine was good, steaks were too chargrilled, and the sides were underwhelming
