My filet was excellent, mac and cheese was short of favors. Understand first evening open, but service was a little slow. Waitress was nervous, needs to relax a bit and needs to understand what she needs to serve first. Host needs to smile, seems very unfriendly.

Business response:

So glad you enjoyed your steak. We recently changed the flavor profile on our mac and cheese and hope you will try its new incarnation on your next visit. First night opening jitters and kinks can cause a less than seamless experience, and for this we apologize. I am sure you will see on your next visit that much has changed from our first night open. We hope you come back to see the progress.

I had high hopes for this restaurant and chose it for a birthday dinner, so it was disappointing that the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. Our server seemed very hurried throughout the evening, even though the restaurant didn’t appear particularly busy. While they were polite, the pace of the service made the meal feel a bit rushed and less attentive than we had anticipated for a special occasion. For our entrées, I ordered the filet cooked medium and my fiancé ordered the Iberico pork. Unfortunately, both di... read more

Not the dining experience we were hoping for. 80 dollar steak full of gristle, lamb chops quite small. Vegetables were room temperature. Biscuits were quite hard to be "freshly made". Not sure why they deemed this 5 star price worthy.

Do not eat here unless you have food comps. The filet was mediocre at best, and the sea bass was terrible. I eat at a lot of high end restaurants, and I just felt the prices were a little high, and the food wasn’t worth the prices they’re charging. My husband got the French Onion soup and the crouton was hard as a rock. But our server was fabulous and they did offer other options, so they did try to rectify things, but by then, there was nothing else I really wanted.

This was our second visit to Oliver's. The first, a year ago, was excellent. I don't like to complain, but feel management should understand our experience. We were seated for 20 minutes before our server took drink orders or brought us water. We ordered apps. The oysters didn't come with crackers/horse radish. Our server noticed and went to get the items, but it took a while. We noticed other tables getting bread, so we asked a different server if we could have some - he quickly responded. I went to the bathroom and when I ... read more

Service was excellent! Food was lousy. I had the seafood platter. The lobster was so overcooked, I could barely scrape it from the shell. The crab cakes were over salted, as well as the shrimp. Our friend had a filet, which he said was dry and bland. We don’t mind to pay higher prices for good food. But Oliver’s needs to put out better food for the prices they are asking.

Not a 5 star restaurant. My husband had the lamb chops and it was literally 7 bits of meat. The short rib was dry and tough. I wasn’t given utensils after sending mine to kitchen with the dirty dishes. I ended up having to use my husbands butter knife. Just wasn’t good quality like the other 5 star restaurants we’ve been to.

We ordered a side of mushrooms with our entrees. They were awful. No seasoning, no wine, no garlic. Tasted as if they were sliced mushrooms cooked in a microwave without any thing else. Everything thing else was great especially the service.

Business response:

Donna, we're grateful for your kind words about our team and your overall experience. We're sorry our mushrooms weren't up to par - your comments have been shared with our kitchen so we can improve. We'd love to show you the difference on your next visit.

Food was good but service was SLOW and wait staff that was supposed to clear table took one plate and walked off. Never did clear our plates. Not crowded at all and food took FOREVER. No need to return!
