Everything was so great. There was so many things on the menu that sounded so delicious. I had a hard time deciding. I want to go back just to try more. We are not that into wine but if you are, the wine list is extensive and mostly Italian. The shrimp and calamari app, chicken parm and lemonchelo cake were excellent.
Really amazing food, great waitress, nice ambiance, Gaslamp charm and right in the middle of all of the downtown action. Just 1 block from the Horton Plaza parking garage too. I'm definitely coming back, whenever the occasion arises. It was slightly louder than i usually prefer but i was there for a late dinner on a Saturday night so it was expected.
Our server was excellent, attentive, and very efficient. The noise level was high, but typical for this special Italian osteria
We had a quiet dinner at Osteria Panevino during a recent trip to San Diego and we still can't stop talking about it. The authenticity of the service and the food was incredible. We highly recommend the Lobster Ravioli, and if you are lucky enough to have Giuseppe as your server - take his wine recommendation, he really knows his stuff. We will go every time we are in San Diego, without a doubt. We may even go to San Diego JUST to visit Panevino again!
We go here each year on our anniversary and are always taken care of above and beyond. Give them a chance to wow you and they will. Top restaurant in San Diego.
Excellent service. Very attentive waiters. Excellent ravioli's. While they had gluten free pasta, there was only one sauce option which was very tasty still, should expand this. Kids menu was great. Kids pizza was large, too big in fact for one person. We would come back here.
The service was great. The food was good but not great and the portions were huge. None of us ate the whole thing. I'm not surprised that it was in a touristy area. I've had much better Italian food elsewhere. Still good and fun though. Pleasant atmosphere.
I thought this would be a great place to try for my husband's birthday. We went with our two daughters. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time but couldn't be seated until 45 min later. The two hostesses were nice and pleasant chatting with us as we waited but it was a long wait. Once we were seated, we were handed menus but the waitress was too busy with other tables to take our order. This is far and away one of the best Italian restaurants ever! The veal Osso Bucco was perfect as was the steak. There are so many restaurants to choose from in the Gaslamp Quarter...I would recommend this charming eatery first. The waiter was Italian and made the evening delightful! I will visit again on my next trip to San Diego!!
