First the good.....we had six in our party and we sat outside on the patio and that was great for people watching on 5th street. The service was excellent as was the appetizer that was suggested by our waiter (I think he may have been an owner). Now the not so good.....I think everyone in our party agreed that the food was very average at best. I had the chicken parmigiana and it very below average. I picked this place because the reviews were very high but our party of six was very disappointed in the food.
Food was good but overpriced for the quality. Bread is not good which is disappointing for a high-end Italian restaurant with this price tag. Staff was busy and not particularly friendly.
Service was good and attentive, but disappointed in the food. We both had seafood, but all of the seafood was over cooked and tough.
Not worth it. Fake Italian food at best. Veal Parmesan was very dry. Bread basket tasted like yesterday's bread warmed up in microwave. Wine y the glass was over priced. Antipasto plate had very average cheeses. Glad we skipped dessert and left.
Very disappointed been dining here for years. Not sure what's happened heard they may have switched owners
Clean modern yet small restaurant, food and cocktail was outstanding and portions were generous. Waiter offered sparking or still water, but failed to mention he would be serving non-complimentary bottled water. I had reserved a table for two, we were seated in a cramped corner next to the servers water refill station at the bar, disappointing.
Our table was very dirty when we sat outside. The pizza was awful....really bad crust. Tasted like a frozen pizza. Our check was $120 for the pizza, a side salad, and 2 drinks.
I would not recommend this restaurant for anything! We don't mind paying for good food, but this was very far from good, and in our opinion, very overpriced for inferior food. I had the Pappardelle and my husband had the Cozze Vongole.I had the minestrone soup (what there was of it - a few spoonfuls !) I have had much better quality wise at my local Applebees! I really couldn't tell what I was eating, it was a "mush" and had no taste! My friend had the special, the dish with the crab that cost over $40. and had to leave most ... read more
Food was OK at best and very expensive, considering the quality.
