The food was great and the restaurant is beautiful. But I felt like I was herded along and rushed. The tables are so close together that people walking by knocked over my wine glass and the waiter could barely hand me my plate. A fairly simple dinner for two ended up in the $200 range - for that much money I expected a lot more.
Waiter was very attentive but somewhat pushy. We asked for tap water and he brought us bottled water. Talked us into an appetizer plate for the table- we knew it would be expensive and it was- it was just a rushed feeling and he made it hard to say no- constantly filling wine glasses- so we would order more wine- food was very authentic and good but would not return to this restaurant
Ordered pasta and sent back because of grit in the sauce. Chef needs to test by taste and chewing before serving sand. Clams and other seafood has to be properly cleaned before serving. Not happy.
We always enjoy this restaurant, but we won't eat outside again. The street people kind of ruined the experience.
Went here while in SD to celebrate my birthday. We specifically asked the waiter if the meals we ordered were large or small (shareable). He said they were for one person. Basically said not big enough to share. They were large. He wasn’t upfront. The food was nothing like it was 20 years ago. It was good but not great.
Utterly horrible experience, chicken parm was obviously cooked earlier and microwaved , every bite was tough . We all ordered wedge salads , only 1 showed up. We assumed he was coming back w the others, but main courses came next . We ordered 2013 Bottle of Caymus cab , he opened bottle and poured it into my glass which contained diff wine altogether??? Then leaves the bottle and it turns out it’s a 2016 vintage , at $210 a bottle you expect to get what you ordered . My brother was still eating entree when waiter came and as... read more
Worst food my wife and I have ever had. The food smelt of some unwanted body parts. The food didn’t taste much better. Great service, but just terrible food.
My wife and I have eaten her once before and the food was excellent. This Sunday however was a totally different story. The food, in my opinion, was way way too salty, uneatable. The pizza seemed, to me, to be reheated and the ciopppino was so salty we hardly ate anything. The service however was very good. Sorry
Expensive only because of its location. Way too much cheese on lasagna, veal was over cooked. Disappointed.
