RecommendedMy kitty had to undergo emergency surgery a couple weeks ago. The staff at OP Veterinary Emergency and Speciality was wonderful. They were all so friendly, welcoming and consistently kept me updated as to what was going on. Special shout-out to the surgeon who conducted the surgery. She was amazing! She sent me pictures, and even a video, of Stevie (my cat) while he was recovering under their supervision. RecommendedThe staff here was absolutely amazing! I had to unexpectedly have my dog euthanized a while back and everyone here was so kind, patient and extremely thorough throughout the entire process. We were given our privacy to say goodbye and everyone was so much more comfortable because of the care the staff at OPVES showed. RecommendedWe had to visit the Emergency Vet on Thursday Evening, which is never a "pleasant" experience by nature but I was very pleased with the service provided at Overland Park Veterinary Emergency. The staff and Veterinarian were very friendly and professional. I knew my kitty was in good hands. I mentioned how Lawrence desperately needed a 24hr emergency vet and they should branch out there 😉😉 but until that happens they will be my go-to for any emergency care needs.

RecommendedI was pleased with the care and updates. The doctor was good to call and tell us if progress. However, the prices are astronomical. I realize they should be more since covering weekends and nights when can’t get ordinary care but $1000 for the day is just crazy. I saved $500 picking up to keep my cat overnight and then take to own vet. I had to ask for the option. So good care but be prepared to pay dearly.

Why we are sorry if the prices came as a shock, we hope you understand that the equipment and doctor qualification is lateral to human emergency care, unfortunately, making it just as pricey in certain situations such as this. RecommendedMy dog hurt herself very badly, degloved her right leg, we took her to Overland Park veterinary er they took her immediately. Gave her an iv & kept her 2 nights. The surgeon was able to save 85% of her skin, which was amazing. She will have follow up visits to change her dressings but she is on the road to recovery due to their amazing knowledge and fast work. There was a point we thought she would need her leg amputated but they fixed it and we’re so happy.
