Get directionsWe took our dog in since he was having blood in his urine. They gladly took him in and took samples and blood work. At the end of the visit, they provide us with antibiotics prescribed for a full week. They called at the end of the week to let us know that they received the urine sample test results and recommended that we get another set of antibiotics. They mentioned that we would need to find a local pharmacy to have them send over the prescription or have it filled within their facility. However we were going to be out o... read more

Hello, Amanda. Clavamox comes in 4 routine sizes- 62.5mg, 125mg, 250mg and 375mg. There should have been no reason that you couldn't find one particular size over another and had this been an issue, pharmacies will routinely call us and ask if they can give one size at the same dosage as another so I am not really sure why this even happened as it is a very common drug. As for your final call with our facility, your husband had asked for a written prescription "just in case" for the future if Finn needed it. It would be un... read more
Apathetic and dismissive. They will deny healthcare to a dog because they don't feel like helping him. His sugar was at 46mg/dl, and they said they don't feel they have to help him. Be careful. They will leave you hanging!!!!!! I spoke to Rene and Cynthia. They left me on hold for 20 minutes at a time so of course I was upset. They will embellish their side to a story to cover themselves. They scold you for telling them what treatment your pet was getting before. Unprofessional and u supportive on all levels.
Business response:
Sahar, when you start cursing at my staff and changing medication dosages according to how you think your pet should be treated, you obviously have no more need for us. You are welcome to treat your pet however you see fit, but, my staff does NOT deserve to be yelled at and berated and we will refuse to help you should this occur. We hope that you can find a doctor for Teddy that will suit your needs.
This review is in no way a reflection on any of the Dr's or treatment my babies have received. This is strictly about the front office. We have been going to Dr V for a number of years and got to know the old staff (Miss Tammie, Corey), they knew Xena my name and her issues and were always so caring and always treated us like we were family. Since they got bought out by this corporation all that care and sense of family is now gone. We had an appointment for 9am just to have blood drawn and no need to see the Dr. (Completely... read more
After spending over $7,000 in a couple of weeks at Pacific Care Pet Emergency they referred me to Dr. Kerrie Chung, their Internal Medicine Specialist as the specific follow up plan for my pet Blu. My puppy is now on his third round of antibiotics with no resolution to the initial problem they treated. We waited weeks for the appointment with Dr. Kerrie Chung, who was extremely rude and acted like she was doing us a favor by seeing my dog. She wasn't familiar with my case so obviously she didn't take the time to review the... read more

Hello Christine. I am sorry that your experience was not what you had hoped. Unfortunately, with chronic UTIs like Blu's, it is a LONG road, as you have experienced in the multiple hospitals that you have visited. This involves a series of ultrasounds, blood tests, and cultures which both Dr. Hsieh and Dr. Chung went over with you. We hope that you find a doctor and hospital that will suit your needs and help you treat Blu's chronic condition.
My dog was diagnosed with kidney failure and a urinary infection from the after hour urgent care center in mission Viejo and needed to be transferred to a 24 hour animal hospital which I chose pacific care for her needs....she needs fluids right away and had catheter already in her leg to continue her fluids they told me she was already hooked up and I seen hope two hours later in a cage with no fluids being administered!! Then they told me she didn't need it!! They lied to me on numerous occasions regarding my dog then cam ... read more
Missy, I want you and everyone else to know that our sweet Ezra passed away the next morning due to not being able to get care after we were told to come to your hospital. She didn't even look inside the carrier she looked through the mesh. I cannot tell you the indescribable hurt your clinic has caused us. I hope that everyone reads this and knows that the loss of our pet is clear warning of the incompetence of your hospital staff.
Business response:
Hello, Pamela. First off, I am incredibly sorry that this emergency happened to you and your kitty and I hope that he is alright. Like all the ER's in this area, we are experiencing an overwhelming influx of patients. From what I understand with your kitty, the tech who looked at your pet did a quick assessment and saw that he wasn't open-mouthed breathing and felt that he wasn't critical at that moment and that he would be better served to go somewhere else where he could get prompt attention. Unfortunately, we could not ... read more
The diagnostic care was a CT scan of my dogs intestines (for kennel cough) and a blood panel. Happy to share you actually did fill the meds the following day and he is fine now. I just never come back.
Business response:
Lauren, the tech who you were dealing with on Sunday immediately fixed the error on the invoice as soon as you pointed it out to her. It was an error that we immediately remedied. As for the meds, we filled them for you, you then said you didn't want them so we removed them from the bill and wrote out scripts. We send scripts out to Costco, CVS, etc all the time but unfortunately, with backorders and backlogs, many times there is a delay with getting prescriptions from outside locations. When you called back to get them fr... read more
If you're looking to get sincere, genuine care for your pet with thorough explanation and bedside manners, I would advise taking your furry family members somewhere else. Front desk & Dr care is so minimal & transactional here, I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. They're quick to take my money but won't explain or put in care towards our dog that it caused a stressful situation to be even MORE stressful & upsetting. Our 13 year-old beagle had nasal cancer that was very aggressive and during the point we contacted Pacific C... read more

Hello Nanako. First off, let me express my sympathies at the loss of Diamond. Unfortunately, our doctors cannot work 7 days each week, and Dr. Chung reviewed your CT results the day she was back in the office. The reason that she did not leave a detailed message on Sat night was because of the cancer diagnosis. The doctor always wants to be able to speak in person about this to be able to answer any questions you may have and give detailed instructions on what the next steps should be. When you called in the middle of the w... read more
My cat received what might be the worse diagnosis, Chylohorax on 2/1/22. I cannot even get into the amount of loss I feel without crying. I had called Pacific Coast at the vet and was told to rush him over IMMEDIATLEY for care without knowing anything besides fluid was giving him "labored breathing" and it was "critical without treatment," according to PCPE. My review is not regarding the diagnosis its about being honest and giving a percentage or "chances of recovery" over the phone when asked. Rather than reacting and rus... read more
