I was expecting a lot from this zoo. One thing I did love was the water area for the kids to play in, my son had a blast! When we went to see the animals, most of the exhibits were empty. Pretty disappointed to say the least. The zoo was small, which was a plus because I have a small child and he was able to walk the whole area with no problem.

The zoo was founded 50 years ago by Paul Dreher who settled in West Palm Beach from Germany. In 1961 he built a small red barnyard and added farm animals. It was opened to to the residents of Palm Beach as The Dreher Park Farm Zoo. More animals were added through the years and a Zoological Society created in 1969 now runs the zoo while the city owns the land it is on. In 1989 the zoo applied to become a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums which furthered it's ability to create higher standards for both guests and... read more

Cute zoo for little ones with a splash pad. We stopped because we had time before a flight. The zoo is small and perfect for smaller children. There's a splash pad that a big group of toddler aged kids were playing while parents sat in the shade. There were a number of smaller animals and well shaded paths. The cafe had surprisingly good sandwiches and cheeseburgers. The glassed in cafe wasn't open yet and several employees were laughing when visitors were trying to get in to sit down (not cool). I would encourage the... read more

Went to the zoo yesterday for the first time since moving here last July! My daughter and I had an amazing experience from the animals to the food and service at the Cafe! The cleanliness of the zoo was impeccable and something that shows the staff cares which is great! I wish I remember the name of my server because she did a great job! The atmosphere of the cafe as well is really cool and made you feel like you are in a hut in the middle of the jungle! Can't wait to go back and I called family and friends and can't w... read more

Went here while on vacation and it did not disappoint. We even got a private viewing of some birds by some very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Very clean and well kept and all staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Coming from a big city with a very large zoo, I thought this could be bigger but once you get past ant - it's a great afternoon out. My toddler loves the animal exhibits and the spaces for encounters. The zookeepers are super friendly. I would agree that it's not in the same league as zoo Miami but charges something similar. The evening activity for adults are pretty cool to go to as well. Can't wait to experience boo at the zoo this Halloween!

I can't say enough good things about this zoo since they renovated it!! I'm an animal lover and normally don't support zoos, but the habitats are huge! My toddler loves it especially the monkey habitat with the waterfall! Another big plus is that it's mostly shaded by huge banyan trees. We have an annual membership and love it!

Love this zoo! Nice sprinkler in the center of the zoo for kids to play in and cool off, ample benches for parents to relax and watch them. The zoo is beautiful and the lay out is very easy to navigate. There are many exhibits to see (considering it's a small zoo) and the habitats are quite amazing and large for the animals to enjoy even though they are in captivity. The lush landscape offers shading throughout the zoo even on hot days which makes it that much more enjoyable. Each year We visit there seems to be a newly adde... read more

Large enough to get the zoo experience and tire out a toddler. Small enough that you can spend half a day and get some water fun in with the little one. Staff was amazing. Rides were cute and entertaining. Water fountains at the entrance were an added bonus. Will definitely be back when we have a few hours to spare on a Saturday.
