Went here while on vacation and it did not disappoint. We even got a private viewing of some birds by some very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Very clean and well kept and all staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Coming from a big city with a very large zoo, I thought this could be bigger but once you get past ant - it's a great afternoon out. My toddler loves the animal exhibits and the spaces for encounters. The zookeepers are super friendly. I would agree that it's not in the same league as zoo Miami but charges something similar. The evening activity for adults are pretty cool to go to as well. Can't wait to experience boo at the zoo this Halloween!

Price is ridiculous for the amount of animals and quality of exhibits. Several animals looked completely miserable. The enclosures look unkempt and low quality. Took us about an hour to see absolutely all the zoo had to offer. wouldn't recommend unless your just bring kids for the splash pad

Business response:

Thank you for the feedback, and we're sorry your visit didn't meet expectations. Animal welfare is our top priority and it's unfortunate that things seemed otherwise. Our team works with each animal and habitat every day, guided by veterinary and behavioral specialists, to ensure they're healthy and thriving. If specific animals or enclosures concern you, please reach out directly so we can look into it. We appreciate that care and concern as well. You can email us at info@palmbeachzoo.org. As a nonprofit, admission directly... read more

Sad and expensive... We're middle aged, well traveled and have visited many zoos. Our expectations were not high and it still sucked... $35.00 for a dated, poorly maintained property with very few visible animals and no large mammals (except tigers). Primary retail store closed at 2:30 on a Saturday? One food outlet open and nothing else? Nothing is engaging or interactive... There's obviously major issues with such an affluent county not supporting the zoo and/or ownership/management getting the many wealthy locals to he... read more

Business response:

Hello, First, we genuinely want to thank you for the honest feedback and for visiting us! We're sorry this visit fell short and that's unfortunate. We would love to welcome you back in the future because we do believe there is lots to see and do. Our cafe has an extensive menu plus several food stalls throughout the zoo, and we run animal chats and guest experiences all day long. We'd also love to introduce you to our Florida panther, cougar, capybaras, koalas and more! But we hear your feedback and we'll work on making tho... read more

I went here and I saw a girl in the bathroom and she fainted! I went to get help, but they said they had to see it.... And they didn't... I had to call the police! POLICE!? Yes... The police. Then when I went back into the bathroom, someone took off her shoes and poured water down her throat! You know how dangerous that is? She could've choked on the water! Then... Finally! The workers and police came in, they rushed her to the hospital thank God!

Business response:

Allegra, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We consulted our rangers, guest services and other management members. We have very specific protocols in place for situations like this, including alerting EMS. It seems this event did not take place, as EMS did not come to the Zoo for the situation you have shared here. However, please call (561) 547-9453 to speak more about this situation. We would like to clarify what happened since we have no records of this event.

For $45 plus tax, there really aren't a lot of animals in my opinion. This is the first time in a while since I've gone and went because everyone talks about the improvements that have been made but I don't believe I will be going again. Disappointed with the lack of animals. If you like turtles though they have more than you can imagine.

Business response:

Kelly, We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your visit. We will be sure to pass your feedback on to our management teams. As a non-profit, we certainly appreciate your time to visit us. Purchases at the Zoo help us offer world-class animal care. They also help us in our conservation projects beyond the gates. Animal behaviors aren't always predictable, and with our improved habitats and ample space for animals, there are chances our animals won't be seen during every visit. We appreciate your visit and feedb... read more

I am a member of the Palm Beach Zoo, and I will continue to be a member of the Palm Beach zoo. They need help. However, don't expect to see many animals. In recent years they have gotten rid of the bird show, the bird aviary, the fennec fox, the kangaroos, and so many other animals that when I go through the zoo now I see many picnic areas where there used to be multiple cages for small birds and monkeys. It's really really sad and it makes me not want to go at all. I understand they're going to be opening a new Africa exh... read more

Business response:

Hey James, We’d like to thank you for taking the time to leave a thoughtful and honest review expressing your feelings about Palm Beach Zoo. It sounds like you are a long-time Zoo supporter, and we thank you for that! As we continue to grow as a conservation-focused organization, we believe a great zoo isn't measured by how many animals it houses, but by the quality of life we provide each one. Deconstructing old habitats and using that space to expand the footprint of new ones is how we accomplish that. Instead of two or t... read more

Absolutely appalling that this is Palm Beach Zoo. One of the wealthiest counties in the US has the worst zoo. Employees are rude and where are the animals?! Splash park????? Hard cement no cover! Disappointed and disgusted. Shame on you for charging $33. If I could only give negative stars!!!

Staff is rude and not welcoming to all the public. Need to be nice to everyone not just a select few.

Business response:

Hey Nick, We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet our standards of how we treat guests. If you have any details you'd like to share with us, please email us info@palmbeachzoo.org.
