I being a Palm Beach county Resident took my family to the Palm Beach County Zoo on Sunday, August 18th It was more like a long and winding walk as opposed to a zoo as many of the exhibits were closed. Not many animals to be found. They advertised shows but none were scheduled even though it was posted with times of shows. For the moneys spent I personally felt taken advantage of. Needless to say, I won't be going back to the Zoo nor will I be recommending it . My family was terribly disappointed.
This place was so bad it sucked there were no tigers you could barely see the panther didn't do anything and for the love of it all you guys didn't have any bush dogs and the tiger was nowhere to be seen in the Caimans were nowhere to be found your zoo fucking sucks and I will never go back
What a disappointment! We have come here 3 years in a row and always loved it, unfortunately this year it is terrible! Lots of construction and nearly half the animals off exhibit. We saw more construction people than animals.Plus the food court gives the impression only the more expensive restaurant is open. Wouldn't have been so disappointed if they had let us know before we spent 90$ getting in ( 1 child, 1 senior 2 adults). Plus some local promotion means huge crowds of pushy obnoxious people! Ugh, save your money and ti... read more
We went yesterday for the Roar and Pour event. The band was great and the zoo is beautiful! But the service sucks badly: the lines were 20 minutes long to buy alcohol, and it took over 1 hour waiting in line to order and waiting for our 2 burgers and fries (burgers were served cold to us). There are no reasons for these long lines and wait time. It's not rocket science. It's not the first time you are having these events! Get more help to reduce wait time and you'll sell more food and more drinks and you'll make a lot mo... read more
I think that the vallet parking is so ridiculas becasuse my family paid for a meberships put the vallet defeats the purpose of the mebership because know we have to 8 dollars to go there. Aswell as it is completely useless everyone can park for them selves because people already pay approximately 15 dollars to get in.
We visited the zoo today, and parking was a nightmare. I followed the signs around the building that said additional parking. I only found an area that had been assigned to valet. One of the valet parking employees came up and rudely told me the lot was full and said I needed to stop. I told him I needed to turn around first, and then he apologized. Once we got inside, we went straight to the food window since it was lunch time. Two of the cashiers were arguing with each other. We waited 20 minutes without our order being fi... read more
I recently moved to south Florida from Columbus Ohio and I was very disappointed. I'm in love with the Columbus zoo and this zoo really let me down. There are no elephants, zebras, lions, polar bears, penguins or giraffes. There were many varieties of birds but that's pretty much it. Next time I will try the Miami zoo, longer drive but hopefully it is more like a zoo. Over priced for what they have to offer.
WOW, so I just visited this zoo for the first time since 2009 and man has it ever gone down in quality and cleanliness. It used to be MUCH better than it is now. Not sure what the problem is, but all of the leaning rails were COVERED with bird droppings and you could rarely find a clean place to rest your hands, arms or a camera to catch a stable photo. The glass on the otter tank was so dirty and it too had wild bird droppings all over it. Just disgusting. You could tell it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. YES. WEEKS! The who... read more
Saddest zoo I've ever been too, and I come from a small city with a run down, dilapidated zoo. Most animals looked sedated, miserable, and completely exhausted from their mundane life enclosed in a space way too small for them. Every animal (besides the birds) were practically comatose hiding in the deepest corners of their cages. We'd seen enough after a measly hour. I'm not even an animal person and I felt tragically sorry for these poor animals. We requested our money back as everyone was disappointed, and we had s... read more
