DONT COME HERE! Huge waste of money!!! There is birds.. and a bears. A butterfly walk in cage that hasn't been available since before COVID. The animals are conveniently "somewhere else being moved" as far a the signs say.you have to pay $5 or $7 so the carousel I went to the lion safari zoo in loxahatchee not to far from there. It was amazing all the rides in there ARE FREE! So many animals FEEDING GIRAFFES!!! WATERPARK FREE! PETTING ZOO! FREE (animal food cost) there is a drive thru zoo with wild rinos. It's $25 for adult ... read more
HORRIBLE experience. I don't even know what was worse, the amount to paid to literally see animals in filth or the zoo itself falling apart. By far a waste of a 2 hour drive to just leave in disappointed less than 30 minutes later. To all the locals/tourist - save your money. Trust me the drive to Zoo Miami is worth it and more. See for yourself :) Insane that I have to give it one star in order to post.
This place is so terrible. Brought my two step kids and my two year old daughter for her second birthday yesterday. We walked around half way and left within 30 mins of entering the zoo. It smells bad. Not a lot of animals and the animals that are still there look so miserable and not fed. I'm going to reach out to a few people about these poor animals. This place needs to be shut down ASAP! I would give this place -0
We went on a Tuesday in early March '21 and we were very disappointed. The zoo is small and has a limited number of animals. There were plenty of birds and ducks, turtles, lizards and crocodiles. Notably, there were two sleeping tigers, two sleeping black bears, one sleeping leopard and some adorable monkeys. Actually, there was a pair of anteaters and they were very cool. Several cages were empty or we couldn't find the animal in it. At one point, there were so many missing exhibits that I felt we should have had a disc... read more
Some of the exhibits were cool, but some of the enclosures are far too small and leave the animals stressed and upset. I walked past 4 different big cats who did not have enough room. They paced at their cages for hours. It made me so sad.
First off it's way over priced for everything that is closed there is very little to see... $24.95 for adults $18 for kids. Kids under 3 free. We went on a Wednesday took Lee's than 2 hours to walk through no shows or feeding times... I took my 9 month grandbaby she was very entertained but us adults were very disappointed. I would pay maybe $15 for adults because there are very few animals to see and they were not hidden! The grounds are well kept...
I took my daughter to the zoo this morning. the zoo itself is very nice. we loved the exhibits. however their mask policy was not enforced and at least 50% of the people that were walking around right next to us were not wearing their masks. we got so freaked out we ended up leaving after about an hour. there was no where we could go to get away from people that were not wearing masks. the only place I saw the mask policy enforced was when somebody tried to walk into the café. they told him they could not come in without a ... read more
Price should adjust to what you see, very few animals in exhibit, not kept very clean. Extremely disappointed as I took my children hoping to see more animals. I completely understand we are under a pandemic, I was not expecting to see it like it was pre covid but for a few bucks more Lion Country is a way better option, please adjust your price to 5-10$ per person as I feel robbed from our visit today.
Lovely zoo - and of a size small enough to cover the entire place in one day's visit. The landscaping is well maintained and there is a lot of shade to keep cover during these hot summer days. Some of the animals were given toys, paper bags or catalogs in their pens so they could have some fun ripping and tearing at the items for their amusement. Especially loved the toucans and hornbills. My only complaint is that this zoo does not REQUIRE masks for adults or children - they only "suggest wearing a mask". Since it was hot... read more
