We have been considering solar for several years. It has only been a month since the installation and going live. Our home is approximately1,100 sq ft. This month we are producing 70% of the consumption. We are located in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Sunrise is 6:00 Sunset is 7:30. the ambient Temperature has been in the low to mid 60's
I was very pleased with the timely and professional installation of our new solar system. Everything looks fantastic. Can't wait for the final inspection and to have it brought online.
Today I received my electric bill and only have to pay less than $8.00 for the month. Last month I had no payment. So, with the money I pay Palmetto monthly, and what is owed to the electric company, I'm saving a good chunk of change. My solar started last November.(this is May, so the summer should be even better.)
From the time I spoke to Justin to make an appointment to the installers completing the panel's it has been a simple, easy and effortless experience to my husband and I. We have talked to many friends, neighbors and family about the easy, simple process that Palmetto has made adding solar to our house.
I have had my solar for months now. Even though I was told it may take up to a year to notice a big difference, I am already saving money. My last 2 electric bills were under $13.00!!
Palmetto met with me via virtual meeting. Will Dennis was honest and up front about the entire process. He answered all my questions quickly and with documents to back his information. Once I took pictures and a plan was set up for the designation of the panels, the process began. From the beginning to completed inspection have been very professional.
Fast install, friendly consultant, clean future
Overall, I am pleased. The installation was smooth and the transition was unnoticeable. The system has been running for one year with no issues. The savings have been good from May '23 through August '23 but the daylight hours impacted energy production in the fall and winter months. I would like to know more about the cost of having a battery backup and the cost of a motor generator.
