You will not be disappointed by this young man. He is knowledgeable, honest, informative, and an Air Force veteran whose specialty was heating and A/C. He diagnosed immediately what the issue was and offered two options: a foreign-made part with a 90-day warranty, or an American- made part with a 5-year warranty. While more expensive, the American-made part is the better decision and what we chose. Jacob came out promptly the morning after I called (7pm). He was very courteous, quickly diagnosed the problem, quoted his price and returned with the parts to do the job. I would not hesitate to call on him again for routine maintenance and repair issues. I'd say he went above and beyond because there were additional wiring issues apparently related to construction we had going on. Diagnosed failure of fan and a/c to come on. Replaced circuit board and thermostat.
After my great frustration with another repair service, I chose to call Patriot. The owner Jacob picked up and after hearing about our issue let me know it was no problem and was out within an hour. He proceeded to explain why our A/C had stopped working and gave us options of parts (american and foreign) with reasonable prices and warrenties. The service appointment went excellently. Jacob is a superior technician and individual who does not mind sharing his knowledge and will help you find the best solution to your problem. Jacob evaluated my unit and we discussed options. At first I thought I would go ahead and replace my furnace and a/c unit . Later in the day I decided to just replace the a/c unit and Jacob was very understanding and said he would do whatever I would like to do. Jacob and his co-worker were very professional. I called Patriot, at noon when our A/C stopped working,and describe to the owner our situation and what I was seeing as a problem.It was very warm and humid that day, and hecame out a few hours later that very dayto look over our unit. It is a very old unit 15+ years, and had a pretty bad leak on it. He gave me a down to earth explanation on what we are looking at with an unit as old as ours. It went great! I called on Wednesday morning and they were able to come out the same day to check it out. Our house was 89 degrees. After looking at it they told us what was wrong and the price to repair it ($500) and that it clearly wasn't big enough for our house and it might not work much longer after it gets repaired. It could never keep up during the summer, it was always over 80 degrees in our 2nd story. We decided we didn't want to pay to get it fixed, just wanted to get a new one.
