So If your a low income person they take advantage of it. So if you don’t have a bank then you have to buy prepaid Visa cards. These cost 4.95 on top of what you add on them. Then if you only have 40 or 50 dollars to put on it then they will take 5 dollars out on top of that. They charge 10 plus dollars a day. So if you put 50 dollars on it your looking at 3 days worth of electricity. That’s 500 dollars a month. I feel like this new $10.00 price hike/surcharge is not justifiable by any means. This company already charges over $2.50 a day for providing Service. I only use a couple of kilowatts a day. So I'm paying basically $300.00 but,hardly use any power. So basically this new price hike impacts the low income customers in a negative way.so in saying that, I now say this.im moving my business to another sub contracted collection agency.

My growing family and I have been blessed to have been using Payless power for it’s the only electricity service that reaches our region. We’ve found ourselves feeling wedged between a rock and a hard place with the piercing spike of a raised minimum deposit of $75 (or else penalized a surcharge of $9.95) at which brings out families to our knees. DO NOT USE THIS ELECTRIC COMPANY! I ADDED A LUMP SUM TO MY ACCOUNT AFTER MY PAY CHECK HIT AND 7 DAYS LATER THEY TOOK $140 from my ACCOUNT! Im a single person living in a small apartment! No washer or dryer, no computer, no internet, no gaming system, don’t use the TV, all I do is wash the dishes in the machine, use lights, and plug in my phone! IM SICK TO MY STOMACH

I got charged 10 dollars in one day of use. I can't afford to keep food in my refrigerator, or gas in my car. I can't cancel the plan because the cost is more than I've had in my bank account in months. I can't leave this plan I'm trapped. It's sucking money out of my account constantly. I picked you because you were the cheapest a few years ago and I wanted to use the same company. I am on Social security no money till 3rd 1st they won't need on And I don't have no money They don't listen to people and That they gave me sign That's not letting me skip it That's not letting me skip it They taking money on my count let me -25 and asking for $35 when I don't have the money I get get paid monthly.

Customer service is the worst and 1 star is to much for this pathetic company.. was disconnected over $1.65 due to the 4th of July and my direct deposit being off 1 day.. a customer nearly 4 years to get shut off over a small amount.. greed and stupid policies will hopefully shut this company down.

I was with a national power company for years up until I had to find another provider that offered me more flexibiltiy on my budget. This was the one I found among all the other small Pay-as-You-Go companies that had more options for someone who lives paycheck to paycheck.
