From start to finish the process was smooth!
The appraisal was not ordered when I was told, took two weeks to get the appraiser to my house by and only after 4 or 5 calls specifically about this subject. Also, the title company completely failed to understand the previous loan, asking repeatedly for paid in full letters that I had already provided. Again, it took multiple phone calls to straighten out the matter and wasted a lot of time. Process was drawn out and communication was lost several times. One person needs to be assigned a task and see it through
The people I talk to you were all very friendly and did the best that they could but the departments did not work well together and I was asked to send the same document over and over again on multiple occasions
Unclear who is the primary point of contact that handles my refinance. Initial comm. handled by Alex, then transferred to Eriberto but he hardly made contact and I ended up communicating back with Alex or someone from the team. I also was communicated I can't choose a title company but then when I pushed you guys agreed its ok. Then its very slow for you guys contacting the title company, and for 2 week there was no progress and when I asked why I got run around reasoning blaming the title company on not providing complete i... read more
I was told there would be no closing costs. Then the closing costs were $5,000. The next week they were $6,000. Once we refused to pay that, they lessened to $400. That tells me that the fees were not necessary and makes me feel like pennymac was trying to squeeze any amount they could from me
