I have a friend who started her refi, with another lender, after I started and closed WAY before me. There needs to be a process to dispute appraisals and guarantee non bias and equal opportunity for all home owners. I am sure my appraisal would have been more accurate had I staged my home appropriately by removing all items which depict my race. it is a proven fact and PennyMac needs a process to ensure this no longer happens in addition to a method to dispute the appraisal and receive a non bi

From the loan officer Taylor Fiorelli to Nicholas Guerrero it was handled very diligently with respect and courtesy. Highly recommend Penny Mac due to the employees they have working for them.

I thought the closing cost were too high but I was glad to get a lower interest rate and a lower payment.
Better communication from the company. Jenny the processor did what she could do for me. My first closing date was canceled and no one called me or sent me a email me to inform of this. Jenny was out sick so I don’t blame her for the lack of communication. I called management and left a message with concern about the lack of communication and no one returned my call.
I must say everything went smoothly as far as the process. But the time frame in which our questions got answered took longer than I believe a normal time frame. And the fact we had to continue to send current paystubs was somewhat annoying. I believe however it was not do to the agents fault but probably due to the fact of the high volume of refinancing.
Specifically, what made my experience refinancing with PennyMac great was 100% due to the efforts of two employees, Donald Cook and Larry Rivers. I feel they went above and beyond to answer my MANY questions and to quickly get our closing done. They were very courteous and friendly which I appreciate. THANK YOU DON AND LARRY! -Adam S.
The communication was poor during a difficult closing process. We scheduled our closing 4 times and it was canceled due to the mobile notary not receiving the paperwork in time. No one called to communicate this with me I had to call and track down someone to talk to each time to figure out what was going on. Additionally, people would say they would call me back and then NEVER did. It was so frustrating!
