Rashawna was excellent to work with. She was friendly, professional and explained all aspects of the loan process to us. PennyMac seemed to be extremely behind in processing loans because of the pandemic. I am sure this would not be the case in "normal times". Refinancing my home with PennyMac was such an easy and painless process.
I have a friend who started her refi, with another lender, after I started and closed WAY before me. There needs to be a process to dispute appraisals and guarantee non bias and equal opportunity for all home owners. I am sure my appraisal would have been more accurate had I staged my home appropriately by removing all items which depict my race. it is a proven fact and PennyMac needs a process to ensure this no longer happens in addition to a method to dispute the appraisal and receive a non bi
It was difficult to get the actual closing scheduled. I would get an email/call from pennymac telling me a time, but would then get an email/call from the lawyer office telling me something different. We did get it scheduled so it turned out okay.
The entire process went smooth with no hickups along the way. Communication channels were always available and questions promptly answered. The ability handle all application documents and signature online simplified the process.
Any questions I had had were answered promptly and the entire process was quick and easy.
When calling the number I would never get in touch with someone . Always a call back and calling the number was a dead end
Loan terms were exactly as quoted. Service & communication was fantastic. The overall process did take much longer than would be expected, but understand the tremendous demand on loans at this time.
