Even with the high volume of purchases and refinances, I think the closing process took too long (10 weeks). I also did not feel that the communication was adequate between the different parts of PennyMac that were involved in the process.

My'Esha Allen performed a fine job keeping us informed about all documents and information needed to keep the process moving along. All voice mails that I had to leave were promptly responded to mostly by phone contact. I would rate the service at 5 stars.

The closing disclosures or rather the explanation by the customer service representative did not accurately calculate the cash to close. It was stated I won’t have any closing costs. Then at closing I had $223 to pay versus receipt of funds which is what I was led to believe. Additionally the escrow calculation at closing has both homeowners insurance and taxes. Previously for our other loan only taxes were included in our escrow as we pay our home owners insurance separately.
