All PennyMac representatives were courteous, however failed to keep consistent and regular communication due to all departments involved to be seemingly highly disconnected from one another. The disconnect resulted in multiple loan delays, cancellation and undue stress which was prolonged for nearly 5 months. This disconnected process between PennyMac departments also resulted in damaged credit scores of both individuals on the loan which later was corrected but found to be a PennyMac error.
My refi process was quick and easy. My loan processor was very friendly and helpful in answering my questions the time I had to call. I would definitely do business with PM again.
Overall experience was everything we expected and more! PennyMac was amazing from the very start. Awesome communication , daily. If my husband had any questions they were answered right away. We’re so happy with PennyMac.
Simple. painless, like the electronic signing and document transfers which saved time of driving somewhere in-person. Over all a great experience.
Too hard to get any answers to my questions. I the main contact was sick. Someone should have been appointed to fill in for him. Phone calls went to voice mail all the time and calls were not returned. It seems as though you had just a single person handling all the loans in progress. I was not provided wire instructions in a timely manner.
It was not Joe's fault. I know the pipeline is backed up due to volume. It was mostly the communication between Joe and underwriting or doc review team. They did not have an idea on how to cashflow my income since I own my insurance agency. And it was supposed to close between 40-50 days and it was 57 days. Also the underwriters would request documents one at a time. Please do all at once otherwise it draws out the process.
I felt like some of my questions were unanswerable, or they just didn't know how to answer it, and or it was treated as a chore. I also didnt get to close on time. But for the most part they did a good job with the documentation and especially with Alex communicating with me better than the other.
