Overall the process went pretty smooth. The loan application / approval process was quick and informative. The online system was easy to use. I received good communication throughout. I was a little surprised that I wasn’t offered a choice in Title Company, as that caused a few day delay and is no longer local for me, but otherwise my experience throughout the process was great.

The whole process took 5 months - way too long. Several documents were requested more than once. I suppose most of the issues experienced were mostly because so many involved were working from home, and therefore not getting the normal communications. I chalk up my unpleasant experience to COVID. But Pennymac did not manage these crazy circumstances well. Be all that as it may, the process eventually was completed, and I write it off as water under the bridge.
The process was as simple and easy as possible. The process was much faster than I anticipated. The representatives were always friendly and helpful with any questions.
Rachel was great to work and answered all of our questions. Everything went smoothly and we closed sooner than expected.
Absolutely pathetic experience.. And i will be extremely upset if you had me sign some documentation to request the closure of My home equity line of credit.
On several occasions I uploaded documents and weeks later was told they do not have them only to go find them myself in the portal provided by PennyMac. When I asked for clarification I was told to not ask that they would let me know when something was needed. I attempted to contact the manager but sat in hold for 2 hours with no contact. It took 2.5 months to close. I understand about COVID but a lot of my delay was due to poor management of documents and poor communication.
Very professional and informative, my experience with PennyMac was exceptional. I'll be very proud to continue to do future business.
