The process was almost too easy! I received weekly updates. Very happy
The process for refinancing my home was super easy! I was up to date throughout the whole process & Rashawna checked in with me weekly. When it came down to closing , directions were very clear. Will definitely recommend PennyMac
We used Pennymac in the past and were big fans!! This experience was awful though. Communication process was terrible. Liem was the fastest to respond to us, but was the third loan processor we had been assigned so we were always confused on who to talk to. Also - when it came time for the closing disclosure, we found multiple errors and kept asking for corrections. We ended up being the one helping Liem balance the CD correctly, which didn't give us much confidence.
From the beginning to the end, the very first phone call all the way through I was always briefed as to each stages of the loan and was treated well by everyone I spoke to or received an email regarding the loan process. It was a great experience all the way through.
We switched people we were dealing with multiple times. Each time it was unclear whether the new person knew what was going on with our loan. There were gaps in communication between people. One of the loan processors was completely unable to answer any of my questions and just kept telling me the questions would be answered at a future step. When the notary arrived at our house for closing, the paperwork was incorrect and it took over an hour to get someone on the phone to address the issues

Despite everything done online and remote, the process went quite smooth even though a bit delayed
From start to finish, all representatives were attentive, helpful and clear on all steps throughout the entire process. Closed on re-fi ahead of schedule. Very satisfied with service and support. Thank you.
