Highly Professional experience!
Everything went smoothly. Refinancing with the same mortgage company without shopping around was a mistake and likely paid too much for the loan. There isn't any existing customer loyalty so I advise introducing competition. Interest rate was good and fair.
We had issues from the beginning. I was told initially no appraisal would be required. Which was one of the main reasons I proceeded. Only to be told after the fact it would be required. Then the appraiser under assessed my square footage and overall price of the home. Causing my rate to go up and my closing costs. I had trouble getting explanations I had about certain costs on the mortgage along with escrow questions. Also my paperwork was lost in mail with every piece of personal info.
My officer was nice and clear with my loan process thank you very much
Experience with the PennyMac team was awesome. Everyone was knowledgeable and prompt.
