Max Mitchell was great at communicating with me throughout the process, however there were several things on penny Mac's end that drug out the refinance process and made for a lot of confusion.
They were very accommodating in finding the right loan for our situation.
The loan process was off to a GREAT start then somewhere things became complicated an the process had to be started over. The process was started over and I received collection calls from the collections department. Trust me, they were RUDE and treated me so unkind as if I was a late payer. After reaching out to Anthony; he has the customer compliance manager call me and send me a letter in writing to assure I was reported to the credit bureau as a late payer. I truly appreciated it
I felt the communication was spotty. I called PennyMac, and found out more documents were needed. There was also a miscommunication as to what documents were required (I heard seller agreement, and repeated it back to the person to whom I was speaking, found out later it was solar agreement.)
I was very pleased with the whole refinance process as far as them staying in touch with me and letting me know it was being processed. I was told what documents I needed to provide in a timely manner. The only improvement I could offer would be to tell people there is a title fee at closing- I had to ask if there would be any money required at closing. Also I felt I was told at the last minute about property taxes that had to be paid in full for that time of the year. A bit of a scramble for me
Penny Mac worked so well with me to ensure I received a better rate. They were a easy to work with and anytime I called they were fast and easy to talk with.

Our closing was cancel the 1st time 1.5 hours before our appointment time on 6/5/20. Our closing for the 2nd time was cancel 5.5 hrs before our appointment time on 6/12/20. We were rescheduled for the 3rd time on 6/26/20 and the amount due at closing was incorrect on the paperwork. I sent an email on Wednesday July 1st just to ask what the correct closing amount actually was and how we can expect a refund. It's is now July 4th and I still have not received a answer : (
