Communication was TERRIBLE. You deal with different “processors” throughout. I was told a credit was approved & found out via email to triple my funds. I had to call and email numerous times over a month. My closing was then scheduled with a higher cash to close & I had to call, multiple times to find out that adntl credit was applied (day of closing). Top it off, my initial closing was cancelled (finding out after they didn’t show) & I had to call back to reschdle with a new cost. Never again.

Fortunately Mr. Greg Johnston is a sensible caring customer friendly person at Penny Mac LLC. Mr. Johnston was able to assist and guide me in the extremely murky banking regulated bureaucracy that was created 10 years ago with the hand cuffing process from The Dodd-Frank Regulations. Mr. Johnston is to be commended for his knowledge, professionalism and attentiveness to customer service.
The team did a great job keeping me informed , so there wasn’t any surprises. Did an awesome job
PennyMac was great to work with. They moved very fast on my refinancing and even moved my closing date a week earlier than expected.
My loan with Penny Mac was smooth and easy. With COVID 19 everywhere, my wife and I did everything online. I was able to scan all my forms and use the secure website to send them to the proper team. At each turn I received an email communication or phone call to inform me that they received my paperwork and what was next. I to thank my M.A.C. team and tell them what a great job they did.
My biggest complaint was the increase of the APR from the original loan disclosure to closing with limited explanation of why? Overall I appreciated the process as I knew the folks I worked with were swamped with refi's while dealing with challenges from coronavirus.
From beginning to end the process was easy, the people knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciated being able to sign documents online and upload all required documents. Even the in person signing our closing documents, during the carona virus, was quick and easy. Thanks.
