So the reason I rated my experience as just okay there were a few times where the left hand seemed to not know what the right hand was doing. I was told they couldn't reach my employer so I couldn't close, when I called to explain we were all working from home, I was told it wasnt a big deal. Yet my closing the next day was cancelled according to my notary who had called the previous day to confirm. I asked for copy of final closing disclosure and never received a response. Closing costs I was told to bring to table we’re not accurate.
Everything explained and went through as expected.
The whole team was helpful throughout the process and did very well keeping us updated and maintained constant communication.
George Reid made it seem as though I was asking for the moon when I asked him my desire to close the refi loan so that I would skip 2 payments and have our next mortgage payment due on the 1st of the 3rd month. I have refinanced twice before this loan and this was never an issue and the folks that worked those loans were very accommodating with this request. In the end that is exactly what happened with our loan. I closed before 4/15 so the next mort payment is due 6/1.
We have been with PennyMac for 10+ years, and it seemed easier than starting over with a new lender when sold our home and purchased a new one.
I loved working with Arin immediately. He even stayed late to get my application finished so that there would be no delay. He explained every detail and then turned me over to the team when it was time to move forward to the next step. Sandra was on top of the next steps and nothing fell through. She answered every question I had throughout the process. Thanks for helping such a stressful process become less of a burden especially during this difficult time we are all going through.
I have been with PennyMac for a while now. My home loan for my old home was with PennyMac and I liked the service and that is why I continued with the purchase of my new home. Nathan Rediel who I dealt with in the initial phase of the loan process was great! After I was transferred to processing team which was with Sandra Benavidez. It was terrible from then on. She was not timely, very poor communicator, aloof, and seeemed uninformed. A lot of questions that I asked , she didn't know.
