A customer service approach would have been very helpful. There were a number of interpersonal communication issues with different individuals throughout the loan process that could have been remedied along the way instead of being allowed to impede the progress of the application processing.

I chose PENNYMAC to refinance my house knowing I could have gone to any lender. I spent 22k in fees. I could’ve given that money to anyone. The reason I wanted to work with PENNYMAC again was because the first time I bought this house, the customer service was amazing. This time is was awful. In the beginning it felt rushed and I wanted general information first before running credit. Mark Stallings was great, Portia Dear was amazing. I only spoke with Nick Mayer once and he was very good also. I’m very disappointed that I was not informed of the turnover of my closing from Portia to Nick. I only found out because I called with a question. Portia was a great resource.
