One issue was that I had trouble throughout the process using the online portal. After I had begun the process, an unrelated PennyMac representative contacted me and we began the process a second time before eventually figuring out that there were two applications. This created some confusion that was wholly unnecessary and avoidable. Starting with Earl Nagaran our loan originator and continuing with Sandrea Allen the custmer service we experienced was top notch. Earl guided me through the portal and uploading required documents and Sandrea was excellent about communicating and making sure we knew what to expect along the way.
